Liam’s POV

If I had been told I’d wind up half-naked in the restroom for ladies earlier this morning, then I would have bitten that person’s head off.

An absent minded server had decided “oh, today is the day for me to soil someone’s clothes. Why don’t I try Mr Liam’s?” What a lousy place to be called a five-star restaurant.

I had been washing my hands in the sink when I realized I was in the wrong bathroom, but it was too late. A lady had walked in already. My eyes widened when I realized it was her. The woman I had pushed out of the road hours back.

“If I let go, you won’t scream anymore, right?” I asked, and she nodded. Slowly, I peeled my hands away from her mouth as she inhaled and exhaled.

“You… you.. why… what?” She stuttered

“I can explain.” I said, trying to calm her down.

“You’re a pervert! What are you doing in the ladies’ room, huh?” She yelled.

“Okay, lady, it’s a crazy story. First, this restaurant is trash. Second, a server soiled my clothes and I have a meeting with a client here in about 10 minutes. Someone will soon return with some clothes. Does it make sense to you now?” I walked away and sat on the marbled counter.

“Doesn’t explain you being in the ladies’ room.” She said.

“Don’t you mix up the bathroom sometimes?” I shrugged.

“No, I don’t. As a matter of fact, I read signs before getting into a door.” She rolled her eyes to the back of her head. “You sound arrogant today you know, wouldn’t kill you to be the nice guy you were hours ago.”

“Okay Miss perfectionism, I would love to applaud you for that, but my hands are currently in a tight spot trying to hide my big guy away from your tasty gaze.” I tightened the grip on my dick. Did she really think me saving her meant we were friends?

“Excuse me? You’re definitely a pervert who lacks a job, I’m sure about that.” She hissed as she walked closer, studying me for a couple of seconds. Her eyes pierced through my body and the way my dick reacted to her gaze. It’s like she owned me.

“I have an offer for you.” She grinned.

The way she looked at me with that grin on her face made me uneasy. I never flinch at the sight of a woman, but this was unbearable and it wasn’t good. “Sorry miss, but I don’t sexually satisfy women for money.” I scoffed.

“What the hell? What do you take me for?”

Even the way she yelled at me made my inner child happy. How can a total stranger make me happy when I knew nothing about her?

“Okay, okay, I’m sorry. I thought you wanted a night with me.” I teased trying to mask my hatred. “So what is the offer about?” I asked.

She rolled her eyes and folded her arms on her chest.

“Well, I need to get married tomorrow. So, will you marry me?” She pouted her lip and batted her lashes like a 4-year-old. This made her cute as fuck. But marriage? Was this lady crazy? Did she even have the slightest clue about who she was talking to?

“I know what you must be thinking, but I’m desperate. I’ll pay you and we have to convince my dad we’re in love for 5 months only. After that, you can get your money and leave.” She pleaded

“What makes you think I need money, and what’s in it for you?” I tilted my head and smiled. She must think I’m a hungry and jobless guy to offer me money like I don’t already swim in it.

“I’ll offer you 10 million dollars for each month you spend with me. Besides, my inheritance is on the line here. So please take this offer. In addition, I’ll take care of all your needs. Just name it. I’m desperate.” She begged.

This was the weirdest way to ask for my hand in marriage, but the boldest and I was eager to know how far she can go with this. How could she just offer a stranger so much money?

“Okay lady, as my future wife, I can’t be calling you lady. Can I at least get a name?” I hopped down from the counter, standing tall in front of her as she gulped down on her saliva.

My phone chirped and I picked up immediately. When I saw the text message, attached with a photo of the woman standing before me, my eyes nearly popped out of their sockets.

“Boss, the woman from last night is Aliya Van Alen, the enemy’s daughter.” Posh’s text read.

No fucking way! I stood before a woman whose family was the reason for my return. Her father Vinichi had sent a letter to my dad saying his daughter was the perfect match for me, and our families would do great together but I had quickly interpreted the letter before it got to dad and tossed it in the trash. If only he knew how much I despised their entire existence.

“Aliya, Aliya Van Alen. And you are?” She stretched out her hand, snapping me back to reality.

Suddenly a smirk spread across my lips, this was perfect.

I never thought in my wildest imagination that I’ll want to marry a Van Alen this badly. An opportunity presented itself right here and I was going to seize it although it deviates from my original plan.

I wonder why she’s willing to pay a random guy millions just, so she avoids marrying me. Oh wait, I’m the random guy she’s paying. This will be fun.

“You can call me Nick.” I took her hand and smiled. “So when’s the wedding, sweetheart?”

I wouldn’t let her know I’m Liam De Luca, the man she’s originally supposed to marry and the man who will make her and her family wish for death. I’ll play her little game for now. She just made things easier for me and it is perfect

“First, let’s get you some clothes.” She said as she brought her phone to her ear. “Brooke, please, can you get me some male clothes in like 5 minutes? I think a size 10. Thank you.” She concluded.

I got lost in her radiance for a moment. She was dressed impeccably and her petite figure gave way for her well-shaped hips to pop better in that skirt she had on. Her hazel eyes held a lot of secrets behind them, secrets I was going to uncover.

A knock came on the door and she walked towards it, returning with some new jeans and a t-shirt. Not my style, but we’ll go with that for now, I guess.

“Here, you can change up, meet your client and we talk after that.” She handed me the clothes and turned away like she hadn’t already seen most of my body.

I dressed up quickly and walked towards her. “Don’t worry, my meeting has been canceled. I’m all yours.” I winked.

“I knew you were a pervert. But that’s not important right now. Why don’t you join I and my assistant over at our table, then we talk about the terms of this marriage.” She said.

“Lead the way.” I replied, and she nodded as we made our way back to her table.

As we walked by, I texted my most trusted bodyguard, Posh, to stay away from me for the day. I noticed the big guy looked down at his phone and back at me as he nodded.

“Brooke, this is Nick. Nick meet Brooke.” She introduced me to her assistant, who sat unfazed by why her boss suddenly leaves for the restroom and comes back with a man.

“I think I need to you that particular restroom as well so I can fetch me a hot man like this,” she whispered to Aliya, but I could hear her clearly.

“Oh, this is amazing. Dear Aliya, after reaping a year of my life, you find another man to do your bidding in just hours? How cheap are you really?” A voice cut through the little discussion they had been having.

I raised my head from the menu I had been reading to find a rather malnourished young man with a slightly bearded lady.

“What do you want Philip?” Aliya’s voice had pain in it and this filled every bit of my body with anger and I couldn’t understand why. Who was this Philip guy?

“Come on, Aliya, let this pretty boy go. You can’t solve your man issues with another man. Have some dignity.” The lady who had been standing by the man now moved closer.

Aliya rose to her feet. “Says the woman who has a threesome with her best friend’s fiancé.”

The lady stretched her hand to hit Aliya, but I stood up in time to hold her hand firmly and tossed it away as I looked her straight in the eye.

“No one touches my wife. Next time you try this, you’d be eating through a pipe.”

  • My Contract Husband Is The Enemy   Epilogue

Epilogue: Aliya’s POV It had been a year—twelve long months of quiet peace mixed with regret, because no matter how life moved forward, a life lost could never be recovered. I stepped out of the car, clutching against my chest the bouquet of flowers I had picked up from the nearby store, and walked slowly past rows of engraved stones that held the names of the departed. When I reached the headstone I had come for, I crouched down, set the flowers gently at its base, and removed my glasses to whisper a small prayer to the heavens. “Told you to wait for me,” a voice said from behind. I turned and found Liam standing there, holding his own set of flowers. He wore a subtle smile, though exhaustion lingered in his expression. He looked worn out, yet happy all the same. “I didn’t think you were serious about coming,” I replied softly. He crouched beside me, placing his bouquet down as well. “I wrapped up my board meeting earlier than expected,” he said. “So I had to join my wife.” Th

Liam’s POVAs Posh and I hit the road, my eyes stayed glued to my phone while his were fixed on the road. My stomach stung from the bullet, but I didn’t care — all I wanted was Aliya, and maybe to salvage what’s left of my sister’s lunatic mind. The thought that I’d been shot right in front of her and she hadn’t felt an ounce of guilt said a lot about the slave she was becoming to a revenge that couldn’t save her.I was slowly losing the people I could call my own. My father had probably been transferred to the next psychiatric ward, I’d lost Brooke long ago without realizing it, and now I wasn’t going to lose Aliya, the only sane family I had left.“Can’t this car go any faster?” I asked anxiously.“Boss, we’re going as fast as we can,” Posh said.“And the guns — are they here?” I asked, remembering I’d told Posh to always keep them because they might come in handy. He nodded. “Yes, boss. Check the glove compartment.”I opened it and took out two Colts 1911. One bullet from either of

Liam’s POV “Liam!” My eyes snapped open, staring blankly into space as my chest heaved. The constant beeping around me caught my attention while I struggled to push myself upright. Pipes ran in and around me, and a bag of what looked like blood hung by the bedside, connected to my body. Reality slammed into me as a throbbing headache pounded my skull and the searing pain in my stomach made me squint. The images came flooding of how I’d been shot in the stomach and Aliya had been kidnapped. “Fuck! She’s been kidnapped,” I muttered aloud, realizing it wasn’t a dream. “Finally you’re awake,” a deep voice said. “Good.” I turned my head to the side as a familiar man dropped the magazine he’d been combing through and approached, dressed in a casual T-shirt and black pants. “I know you,” I muttered. He grinned, his eyes narrowing slightly. “Yes, you do.” “You’re Aliya’s friend… Wel—” I stammered, trying to dig through my foggy memory for his name. He extended his ha

Aliya’s POV“So, you’re telling me that you’re an imposter and my real dad has been dead for years?” I asked, eyes wide with disbelief. At this point, I thought I was prepared for anything they could throw at me, but this? This was the cruelest truth anyone could hand a person moments before death. Because of course I wasn’t going to get out of here alive.“Yes,” he answered with a steady nod.A sharp, hysterical laugh burst out of me. “I’m sure this is some kind of TikTok prank. Where are the cameras? You can bring them out now so we all laugh, you both head back to prison, and I get to live my life with Liam.”“You’re so delusional, Aliya,” Brooke chuckled darkly.“Let me ask you something,” Vinichi began, his tone deliberate. “When your father left for that business trip, how long did he stay in France?”My brows knitted as I thought carefully. “I think nine months or more. Practically a year. Mother said it was because he was grieving the loss of this same Hans Oliver you claim to

  • My Contract Husband Is The Enemy   Chapter 91

Aliya’s POV My life was about to end in an old abandoned oil refinery, at least that’s what it looked like judging from the rusty barrels I had been staring at for minutes. Brooke had strapped my hands to a chair and left with a sinister smile. She said something about an associate. Why this so-called associate wanted me alive was still a mystery to me. Well, I was about to find out. My head hung low, sweat and tears dripping from my face to the ground as I struggled against the cuffs biting into my wrists, but it was useless. Suddenly, a chuckle cut through the silence, followed by a slow clap. I traced the sound until my gaze landed on a pair of black boots planted firmly in front of me. Slowly, I lifted my head, and the sight sent a violent shiver through me. “Dad!?” I whispered, more to myself than to the man who wasn’t supposed to be here, not when he was meant to be rotting behind bars. Never in my life had I felt so close to losing my mind in less than a single

  • My Contract Husband Is The Enemy   Chapter 90

Aliya’s POVMy eyes refused to open, and every time I tried, they slipped shut again. My whole body felt heavy and numb, like I couldn’t move a single muscle no matter how hard I fought. With one desperate push, my eyelids fluttered and parted, revealing a crooked ceiling fan that spun in lazy circles, dangling as though it was seconds away from crashing down. Maybe it would take me with it.A pounding ache surged through my skull, forcing me to squint as I tried to make out my surroundings, but all I saw was darkness wrapped around an unfamiliar room.“Where the fuck am I?” I whispered, my voice hoarse, struggling to shift. The sound of rattling chains cut through the silence, and reality slammed into me.I’d been kidnapped. Shackled to a bed so old and rusted even psychiatric patients wouldn’t be left on it. The metal cuffs bit into my skin. They were so heavy and cold. The only warmth came from the hot tears sliding down my cheeks as the image of Liam taking a bullet for me replaye
