Chapter 19

Zach's PoV

I know Yana is shaken up by the incident with Damon yesterday, but she's been playing it off. Laura and I have encouraged her yet again to report it to the police but she's being pigheaded a usual.

It's now 7p.m., Kyle and I are downstairs waiting on the three of them for the last thirty minutes. We're attending the annual James Ford Charity Ball in aid of children with Autism and Cancer.

I glance at my watch yet again, causing Kyle to chuckle. "If you pace any longer, you're gonna put a hole in that carpet." He teases while scrolling through his phone nonchalantly.

I hiss my teeth, "What could be taking so long? It's been two hours!"

Kyle smirks, "It's gonna take longer when you're getting married." He guffaws at my perturbed expression.

Tossing a cushion at his head, I sit on the couch, shaking my legs. "You know patience is not my forte!"

Five minutes later, the sound of heels clinking on the tiles grabs our attention. Hoisting ourselves up, we rush toward the staircase
