Emily was ready and had prepared breakfast for her and Jason. She had sent her permission slip and resignation from the office, which she still kept secret from Jason.

She had promised to do anything for Jason as long as he would give his heart to Emily.

She knew it would not be easy to have Jason's feelings already filled by other women, but she could still try even though it was difficult. That was why she decided to quit her job. And that raised questions in Charles' mind.
