Emily waltzed confidently into the meeting room. Who said her heart was delicate? She was still heartbroken. She didn't want to show much of what she was feeling now, except for Shila.

Even when in the meeting room, her eyes met Charles' disappointed eyes; Emily tried to ease the turmoil of her own heart.
