Chapter 117 - There's No Undoing The Past

Rather than being weakened by what Lindsey did, their relationship strengthened. Marty has proven to Christine that he has not cheated on her and her trust in him was fortified. The deed that was meant to tear them apart drew them closer together and made their marriage stronger.

"Are you okay?" Marty asked her while they were heading to the fashion show.

"I'm nervous, the last time I performed was the Awards Night five years ago," Christine ruefully said.

Marty remembered her performance and said, "Yeah, you danced like you weren't carrying our baby."

"I couldn't back out at the time because I only learned that I was pregnant two weeks before the Awards Night and can't think of a plausible reason so that they will replace me. And I can't disclose that I was pregnant," Christine explained.
