Saturday morning, Morgan was up early. Getting dressed, he texted Annabelle.
Morgan: Good morning kitten, rise and shine. I will see you soon.He ended the conversation with a heart and flower emoji. At 9:30 a.m., Morgan rang Annabelle's doorbell. With a large grin, like a cheshire cat, Annabelle opened the door, greeting Morgan with a hug. "Morning babe," she smiled."Morning gorgeous," he pulled her into his arms and greeted her with a kiss. "Are you ready?" he then asked."Uh huh," she giggled, though nervous. With her hand clasped in his, they walked to the car. Without you, the readers or listeners, my journey would not have been possible. A special "Thank You" goes to Unbroken Bonds group. Wi
The following morning, after having breakfast served in their room, Morgan surprised Annabelle. "After breakfast, get dressed, we're going to the orphanage."Annabelle, feeling nostalgic, had tears in her eyes. It was her home for so many years, but it was also the playground for bullying. "Don't fear anything, my love, I have your back, you are mine. No one will ever harm you again."As they headed to the orphanage, Annabelle's nerves began to get the better of her. "Relax baby girl, I have you," he whispered as they stepped out of the car and walked to the doors of the orphanage.A few familiar faces engulfed Annabelle. "Morning, what may I do for you?" one elderly woman asked. "I'm Annabelle," she responded, "Annabelle Roberts..." she paused, "sorry Hemmingway," she corrected herself quickly, "and this is my husband, Morgan Hemmingway."Another slightly younger lady approached them, "Wait," she said, "Annabelle Rob
Annabelle didn't want a fancy honeymoon. What she did want was a honeymoon in London. She wanted to go back and visit the orphanage that she had grown up in. Though Morgan had wanted to give her the best of the best, he gave her what she wanted.Morgan booked a week at the Landmark London. A five-star hotel with all the amenities. On arriving at the hotel, they were escorted to the Landmark Signature Suite. Comprised of a living room with dining table, master bedroom, and an en-suite.On the table was a bottle of champagne, compliments from management, as well as a bouquet of flowers and a box of chocolates.Entering the luxurious room, Annabelle couldn't help but be in awe. Morgan looked at her surprised expression and cherished how happy she was."Tomorrow we are going to the spa," he whispered, pulling her close into his embrace, "but for now, my beautiful wife, you are mine." His voice was deep, yet velvety.Morgan's eyes bur
As the year began, the hospital was busy. Marshall and Danielle were working long hours to get the hospital moving. It was March of that year, Morgan and Annabelle had been discussing dates for their wedding. The topic of having children had come up. Tears streamed down Annabelle's face as they discussed the possibility of having children. When Annabelle had been shot in the stomach, the bullet had injured her to the point that the doctors said that having children may not be a possibility "I know you want children of your own kitten, but we can adopt," Morgan said tenderly, sympathetic. Though he wanted his own children, it was not more important than having his woman with him. Annabelle meant more to him. "We can go to the orphanage you grew up in and adopt as many as you like.""I can never forgive Sam for what she did to me. She took away from me the one precious joy in life." Annabelle leaned on his chest. Ho
Lloyd and his construction crew had been working tirelessly for months, as they transformed the hospital into a state-of-the-art facility just in time for its grand opening in January and just in time for the winter snowfalls.Meanwhile, across town, the excitement reached another peak as Danielle and Marshall prepared for their long-awaited graduation day. Family and friends had driven up to Oxford, where the campus buzzed with celebration and pride. The auditorium was filled with loved ones eagerly awaiting the ceremony to begin. As the graduates' names were announced, the crowd quieted, listening intently. When the announcer finally declared, "We present to you our ultimate team graduates, Doctors Marshall and Danielle Hemmingway," the auditorium erupted in loud applause. The air filled with cheers, whistles, and joyous shouts of congratulations.Marshall and Danielle stepped forward hand in hand, their faces radiated smiles as their eyes glis
As they stepped out of the reception hall, a gun shot rang out. Everyone ducked for cover. A scream bellowed through the air and a voice said "Die you bitch! Die!" the female voice shrieked, her voice dripping with malice. As the female screamed those words, Morgan looked around for Annabelle who was lying crumpled on the ground. Her beautiful pale green dress, stained crimson. Her hand pressed against her stomach as the blood seeped out. Time stood still. "Annabelle!" Morgan screamed, terror in his voice. Looking for the shooter, he screamed, "find her and hold her.""We have her brother," Meghan and Marshall said, as they shoved Sam to the ground, holding her down till the police arrived. Seconds later he turned his attention to Annabelle who was now being put on the stretcher heading for the hospital. Climbing in the ambulance with Annabelle, he held her hand, fear tugging at his heart. "Hang in there kitten please. Fight baby ple
