5. Are You Still A Virgin?

Thanks to Caterina and Dante's experience in the mafia, they were able to leave the base safely. No one knew about Caterina's escape plan except Lucy. All the gatekeepers knew was that Dante had left the compound to buy stock medicine, as he was the only doctor in La Vendetta.

Caterina asked her father to drive her to the hospital where she worked. She wants to make sure Gabriel survives the shot Leonardo gave him. At first Dante refused, because he was afraid that Caterina's presence there would be quickly discovered by Leonardo's other men. However, Caterina insisted, so Dante had no other choice.

“Live well out there. Avoid fights with any groups. Never cause trouble for the sake of a safe life. I've sacrificed myself for your safety, so you should use your life well this time.” Dante gave his final message. It was hard for him to let go of his daughter, but he had to do it anyway.

Caterina smiled faintly. She nodded, then gave him one last hug before getting out of the car.

They waved goodbye to each other as Caterina walked toward the hospital building. Dante stared at his daughter's back until Caterina's figure disappeared in the distance. After making sure his daughter was safe, Dante headed back to headquarters as if nothing had happened.

While Caterina stepped into the emergency room, Gabriel was no longer there. She moved on to the operating room. The operating room seemed to be in use with the lights on, signaling an emergency.

Caterina could not calm down where she stood, thinking that the patient undergoing surgery was Gabriel.

“Doctor Caterina.”

The call made Caterina turn her head.

“What are you doing here?” One of Caterina's coworkers asked.

“Is Gabriel in there?” Caterina pointed to the operating room.

“Gabriel was taken by Rossie somewhere. There were a lot of people who took them; it seems like they were Rossie's mobster relatives. Rossie wanted to take Gabriel to the best doctor in the world, so she relied on her brother's connections.”

Caterina sighed with relief. If Rossie took Gabriel to the best doctor, there was still a chance that Gabriel would survive.

“Thankfully, Gabriel did survive.” Caterina sounded extremely relieved.

“Yes, he survived thanks to Rossie. She even donated two of her blood bags to Gabriel. Gabriel lost a lot of blood and needed up to five transfusions. She asked her brother's men to check the donor's compatibility until the blood needed was met.” The woman explained in detail.

Caterina didn't expect Rossie to do that. It turned out that Rossie's love was no joke. Rossie's love for Gabriel was as great as Caterina's love for Leonardo. The difference is that Rossie's love was only rejected nicely. While Caterina had to accept all of Leonardo's hatred towards her.

“You're going home; your schedule for duty is over, right?”

“I think I should resign; I want to move abroad.” Caterina replied weakly. Inevitably, she had to leave Mexico. Her goal now was to go to the USA or Canada. Maybe even further out to the continent. She didn't know, but she might have to go to Germany or France. She felt she had to go that far to avoid Leonardo.

“Why?”

“It's nothing. I just want to find new experiences.” Caterina smiled sweetly, then excused herself to leave.

Just outside the hospital building, two men immediately approached Caterina and dragged her towards a silver car.

Caterina rebelled, trying to break free from the two men's grip. However, she lost her strength. She didn't want to go back to the base; she didn't want to die.

“Let me go! Tell Leonardo that I no longer have any business with him! If he wants me to disappear, I'll disappear from his life!” Caterina said with great emphasis.

However, the two men did not give any response. Caterina was forced to get in and sit in the passenger seat.

“So, you're fighting with your true love?” said a man whose voice was quite familiar to Caterina.

Caterina stopped rebelling; she turned to look at the man. He was Marco De Luca, the head of the mafia group Phoenix Crew, one of Leonardo's toughest enemies.

“What do you want? I left La Vendetta, so I have nothing to do with Leo, let alone you!” Caterina said with annoyance.

“Actually, this has nothing to do with La Vendetta.”

“Then, why did you ask your men to drag me here?” Caterina asked with no fear at all.

“You have offended my sister. You almost killed the man she loved, so I had to make a calculation with you.”

“Your sister?” Caterina frowned in incomprehension.

Marco laughed slightly. “We've been enemies for years. I even know that you and Leonardo love each other. But you don't even know that Rossie is my sister? You've been working at the same hospital for 6 months. Everyone knows that Rossie is my favorite sister; how could you not know about that?”

“So, that mobster Rossie's brother is you? I thought it was just an ordinary guy from a bunch of fake mobsters. If she has a brother as good as you, she should have her own hospital.”

“You have to work here yourself while that bastard Leo is supporting you.” Marco replied to Caterina's words.

“I have to set the record straight: Leonardo and I have no relationship whatsoever. I love him; it's true, but his feelings for me are nothing but hatred.” Caterina straightened.

Marco smiled slightly.

“You think I'm that stupid? I know all the changes Leonardo went through after you left. He misses you, which is why he can't control his emotions when he fights. He's much weaker now.”

“You're wrong.” Caterina couldn't believe it. In her entire life there was only Leonardo's hatred for her.

“It doesn't matter if you don't believe me. You're in my hands now. Rossie asked me to teach you a lesson. Once rowed, two islands are surpassed. I can avenge my sister on you, and I can use you as a tool to avenge Leonardo.”

“Leo never cared about me. He wanted to kill me, and I just ran away from him. Even if you kill me now, he won't care. My life never meant anything to him.” Caterina continued to deny.

“It's a shame that you have to die now. That bastard doesn't know any good. You're pretty enough for me to play with.” Marco stroked Caterina's cheek gently. Caterina immediately brushed his hand away violently.

“Don't touch me, damn it!” Caterina really looked very angry.

“I will give you life. Be my pet until I get bored. Are you still a virgin? I want to know what it's like to fuck you in bed. I'll film it, then send it to Leonardo to see how he reacts.”
