I got to base and finally texted Katie and said I didn’t need a ride. I left for base early to prepare for my uniform inspection. There is a base shuttle! I hurried over with my garment bag in hand and got on. It took whoever on the shuttle to the buildings on this side of base, and whoever else to other stops on base. There were several stops. The commissary, the NEX, the barracks, the work buildings. The base clinic. I never noticed the bus stops until now. There is one at the start of the parking lot next to the building I work in. Convenient. I exited the shuttle and  made my way to the building.

Once inside, I made my way to my office. I was the first one there. Not even YN2 was there yet. Weird. I swear he lives in the office. That thought made me chuckle softly and I turned on the office lights and the computers. I turned on the tv and switched it to the news station.
