Chapter 3

The next day Anne woke up early because she was going home to them and she was excited to know what her mother would say. She bought groceries before going home. After shopping for groceries, she took a taxi.

When she arrived home, her cousin who lived with them immediately met her to help her with what she was carrying. They had nothing to say about this boy’s kindness other than how smart he was. And she can’t help but buy him for every time she goes home. Jason was very happy when he saw that his sister bought him a shirt and sandals.

Entering the house she asked Jason where her mother was. He says someone just went to the neighbor for a while. She entered the room first and changed her clothes.

She left the room and waited for her mother in the living room. And she looked at her notifications and messages. She turned her attention to someone chatting with her. She read the message.

Anne first checked Love More’s profile picture. It’s a black one. He thinks he's in other country. She hesitated to reply it. Not because she discriminated his looks and skin color. But she never dreamed of such kind of a man.

Her mother came.

“How long you're here? “Her mother asked.

“Not so long, mama.“

“I bought beef meat from the market nearby and we will cook it tonight.” Said her mother.

“Let’s eat breakfast first. And I will tell you something while we eat.“ Her mother said again.

They are already at the table and eating. Her mother began to tell her story. It’s about his ex fiancée. He visited his mother yesterday. The man’s mother’s house is in a nearby subdivision. They are just one place but have different subdivisions. It just lowered the ship again. And the sad thing is that the man found out that it wasn’t his child that the woman was pregnant with, which was the reason for their separation. The real father was upset and angry when he found out that his son had been betrothed to another man.

Yesterday, his ex fiancée went to their house and looked for her. Her mother spoke to her well. And the man intends to file an annulment with his wife. The man also asked if she was married. It was as if his eyes were shining when he found out that she was not married yet. He also left greetings for her. He brought also presents to his family especially to Anne. She was not interested in opening the gifts. She gave it to his mother. But not all because she took the perfumes and lotions and soaps because she likes the brand names.

The pain she felt before seemed to return but she didn’t reveal it to her mother.

“I can’t go back to the man who hurt my feelings so much”. That was her only answer to her mother.

“Mom, I want to sleep.“ She told her mother and stretch her body at the same time even though she hadn’t finished eating.

“You are really rude as Anne. In front of the food you're drowsy ”. Disgusted said of her mother.

She laughed at her mother’s face expression. She knew that her mother would cringe when she did that in front of food. Her mother would have slapped her on the arm but she easily escaped and stood up. Runs into the bedroom.

She did not reveal to her mother that she was somewhat affected by her story. There is pain in her heart. It’s true that her mother saw her crying because of her ex fiancee.

She was lying on the bed and couldn’t stop her tears from flowing. She is still really affected by what happened to them by her ex -boyfriend.

She was in the middle of finishing her drama when someone texted her.

She didn’t reply because she was still emoting.

Three weeks passed as Anne devoted herself to work, coming home when there was no work. Joining friends when they go out. She tried to dismiss what happened to his ex fiancée. He seems to feel sorry for her. If only he hadn’t betrayed her. They are probably happy together now. But he wanted what happened to him so her ex fiancée also deserved what happened to him. She also felt sorry for him. But she can’t admit to herself if she still loves him or she just feels pity for the man. There is part of her heart that is longing for him.

Since they separated from the man, they have never seen each other again. They couldn’t even talk properly. They separated without closure. Maybe she still loves the man because if she didn’t, she will be with her boyfriend now but until now she has been aloof with men.

She was at HY Mall that day. An unknown number is calling. She ignored because she was talking to her ambassadors. She also had no idea who was calling but she only had one thing on hier mind. Maybe it’s his ex fiancée.

That’s Anne’s reply. She saved also the number of the black guy.

The man replied again.

“Update me early when your free. “

“Take care. “

She did not reply to his message.

After she went to HY Mall, she went to other outlets.

She was in the stock room and looked at the items for pull out. A brand ambassador who was also close to her arrived. It’s a brand ambassador of men’s shoes. She is already in her room in the apartment where she is staying. It’s still six o’clock in the evening. She was ahead of Winchester because he worked overtime. Her text message tone rang. She opened it and read.

Anne did not realize that it would be nine o’clock in the evening. Winchester didn’t bother her when he arrived because he texted him that she would go to bed early and eat first.

She said goodbye to More love that she will go to sleep. The man agreed. To everyone who chatted with her. This is all she can reply. She ignored the others.

She put her cellphone on top of the table and went to sleep. Because she still has work the next day.
