Chapter 3 : Live my whole life with you

"I don't want to divorce you."

She said the words before she could even think about it.

She was scared when she saw the man open his eyes and looked at her with a straight and determined face.

Even if it's a dream, she knew she wouldn't be able to bear it if she finds herself divorced to him again, if given the chance.

She watched as the brows of the man she loves furrows in doubt and kept a steady gaze at her to which she didn't avoid. She found her arms who were limp beside her slowly raise to support herself as she lifted herself from the bed, wincing at the pain she felt as she let the quilt fall to show her nakedness under the sheet as she kept her gaze at him, as she found him pulling himself up in a sitting position beside her.

"What date is it today?" she suddenly asked him, just to make sure.

She's always had a doubt, right when she started feeling the pain.

"June 1st" she heard him answer in a no nonsense tone she's already familiar with, making her shudder as she closed her eyes in anticipation to the answer to her next question.

"And the year?" she found the voice to ask, albeit in a whisper, as she couldn't find her voice, suddenly.

"2019" she heard him reply in the same tone as hers, as if afraid to disrupt her thoughts.

Silence enveloped the two of them as her heart bubbled in happiness.

She's back!

She's definitely back!

Back to the day before their divorce! Finally, she could set things right before everything went wrong, she thought as she looked down to avoid the gaze of the man still staring at her.

"What's wrong? Is there something wrong with you?" she heard him ask.

"I didn't hit your head on anything, right?" another question, which made her tear up.

God, how could she be so stupid to let go of this man.

She knew that at this time, he was planning to divorce her, that's why she immediately told him that she doesn't want a divorce as soon as he 'woke up' beside her.

She found out a few months after the divorce and after she miscarried that he plotted their divorce so he could make her feel at ease. He knew that she still love him, but he made a decision for the two of them just so he could take all the risk and burdens for her.

How could she make her do that again.

This time, she needs to make her feel that she could stand beside him. No more of that low self-esteemed woman from the past, she knew who she is now.

She, Daisy Stuart, is Albert Matthew's wife and she'd prove to him that he doesn't need to protect her from the wind and rain, and it is enough that he'd let her weather the storms with him together.

Her mind reeled with plans after plans, and everything starting from not letting Albert divorce her and then taking away Jasmine from the side of her husband as his secretary.

From her past life, she remembered a guy named Red Johnson who came from her family's side of business and who rised through the ranks until Albert picked him as his personal secretary.

He was loyal to Albert and her family as it was Albert who gave him a chance and it was her family who gave him the opportunity first by investing in his studies when he couldn't support himself back then.

He was outside her hospital door when she died, and gave her a pained smile of goodbye before leaving her and Albert for their own parting.

She didn't know what happened to them after she died, but she knew that now she's back to redo everything, she'll start preparing a future for her and her husband and only walk on the flower road after this.

She was startled out of her thoughts when she felt his thumb and forefinger pinched her chin, and inevitably forcing her to lift her head to look at him.

He looked quite distraught, and she thought he looked cute like that, as he worried for her, and she couldn't stop herself from throwing herself at him as she cried in happiness.

One more chance and more time, this time, she'll be sure of everything.

No one can take her husband away from her.

"My star, what's wrong?" she heard him ask which made her feel sour in her heart.

"I couldn't remember the last time you called me that," was her only retort, mumbled as she said the words as she tightened her hold on him.

"I had a bad dream," she told him, when she felt his distress and his hand caressing her back in silent comfort.

"A really long bad dream which included you telling me we should divorce." she pulled away slightly to lock eyes with him, as if daring him to actually say the words she didn't want him to say.

And for a moment, she saw him stunned before slowly turning into goo and absolute doting.

She knew this man could't bear to hurt her and would do anything for her if she asked even if he has already decided on hurting her and himself.

Only she could make him rethink his decisions.

And once more, she called her old self stupid from falling into lies again and again.

She could have avoided all this, but she didn't, and now she's back for another chance and this time, she made sure never to forget.

She planned a lot of things for her and her husband, but for now...

"What made you think I'll divorce you, my star? Didn't I promise to live my whole life with you?" she heard him say, warming her heart but it's not enough. He needs to tell herhear it from him today that he wouldn't leave her and stay by her as her husband.

"I want to hear it from you. I want to hear from you that even if the sky falls, you'll be beside me as my husband." she said, to which she heard him retort, "You want me to renew my vows after we did it and we're naked in bed like this?" to which she could only nod in affirmation.
