REIGN'S POV

“Tulips or Rose?”

“Mel, it is your wedding so you decide.” I pushed the flowers away from my face. “I have no idea why I am even here.”

“I'm indecisive about things like this, just choose for me.” She blinked up at me and pouted.

“Tulips,” I sighed and buried my hands deep in my coat. “I still don't know why I'm here. What about Ivan? Is he busy?”

“I don't know. I didn't bother inviting him,” she shrugged and nodded at the wedding planner.

“You should be doing this with him instead.” I looked around at the venue. It was quite large and I wondered just how many guests were going to be invited.

“It will be more fun with you.” She grinned while walking forward with the wedding planner. “What else do I need to check?”

“The main color theme of the wedding and the food,” The wedding planner guarded us forward. She had introduced herself when I had arrived with Mel but I couldn't remember for the life of me. “Will your friend be deciding that as well?”

I chuckled alongside Mel.

REIGN'S POV Mel's wedding dress- if it could even be called that anymore- was absolutely destroyed. It was like someone intentionally stabbed the front with a knife and tore it down to the end. Intentionally. It looked too neat to have been a mistake. And my dress? I mean, my rags because that was what the rest of the material looked like was torn in different places. The person must have hated me more than Mel.“How did this happen?” Mel asked, her blazing eyes on her wedding dress. This was the first time I was seeing even a tiny spark of emotion about her big day in her eyes. She looked disappointed.Maybe I should forget about the hickeys then. Maybe they were indeed mosquito bites.“I'm really sorry, Miss Melanie.” Daya looked down, her hands trembling. I looked back at the two big and brooding men behind us, they were probably the ones making her nervous.“Wasn't this supposed to be the bridal shop where all elites hoping to get married patronize? How is your service so poor t

MELANIE'S POV I was fucked. Utterly, completely and truly fucked.I turned to look at Reign slowly, meeting her wide eyes head front. What the hell was I going to tell her? I couldn't even mention Ivan’s name because she knew what we were like.“I…uh…these are mosquito bites.” I picked up the traitorous scarf and wrapped it hurriedly around my neck. This was all its damn fault.“Mel…Mel, these are too repetitive to be mosquitoes. They're literally covering your whole neck,” Reign noticed.“Ah, there were a lot of them.” I sounded stupid and I knew it but I couldn't possibly tell her the truth, could I?She would think I was a terrible person.Sure, Ivan and I were not completely faithful to each other seeing as we were in love with other people but at least Ivan was not acting on his feelings.I should have just left that day. I shouldn't have accepted his offer to stay for tea and I definitely shouldn't have sat back down. The whole scene replayed in my head again.“Here you go,” he

REIGN'S POV “Me…Mel?”What were the chances of this happening to me? I must have the worst luck in the world. “Oh, Reign. You're here too.” She waved at me before stepping in.Oh, Reign. You're here too? What was this reaction? What was I supposed to make out of this?“Are you not coming?” Mel called out as I stood dumbly by the door trying to make sense of her reaction.“I…hold on, I am.” I stuttered and closed the door behind me before reluctantly following her. I wanted to be anywhere else but here right now.“Ivan, I am here.” Mel announced and took her seat. I stood by the sofa, wondering what the hell I was supposed to do. Should I sit with Mel or go to the kitchen and think of what to do with Ivan?Ivan came in a minute later, a plate of cookies in his hand. His eyes moved from me to Mel and then back to me. He looked surprised and caught off guard. That makes two of us then.“Are those cookies?” Mel leapt to her feet excitedly and collected the plate from Ivan. “Woah, this i

REIGN'S POV “Reign! Reign, open your eyes. Please!”I groaned as I slowly came to life. My memory was fuzzy and everything was hurting, my head, my legs….“Ah,” I trembled in pain as I grabbed my arm. It was hurting the most“Hey, what is it?” Ivan made his presence known. Right, we had been in the car together. “Fuck, it looks broken. Can you move it?”I shook my head as I bit my lips to stay calm. “What's going on? Where are we?” I looked around as I asked, noting the dry, sandy ground I was in. Both of our clothes were dirty and I could see some tears on Ivan’s clothes. The last thing I remembered was our car spinning and spinning and…I sat up with a start, hissing at the pain I felt. We were surrounded by bushes and I could see a glimpse of our car not far from us.“Calm down, okay? The car fell into a ditch.” Ivan exclaimed, while cycling his arms around me. I noticed several bruises and scratches on them. “But thankfully it didn't over turn or anything like that and it also he

MELANIE'S POV It was a hassle getting the nurse off my back. I had to swear over five times that I would return to the hospital as soon as possible before she let me go without supervision. If not for Ivan's connections, I might not have been able to leave the hospital without being officially discharged in the first place. I hummed as I took my seat in the public park. The supposed somewhere I needed to be was just anywhere I could sit and relax but I ended up coming all the way here to the park in my neighborhood.I could have gone back to the hospital with Reign and Ivan and let them go back to ignoring and avoiding each other but it was making them miserable and I couldn't ignore that.Ivan and Christian almost seemed to have a plan of their own that they weren't sharing so I had to come up with mine as well.If I can't prevent the wedding, I can at least try to make Ivan choose the one he really wanted. For once, I wanted him to choose his own happiness. Not his father's. Not m
