Chapter 6

Gio

Taking out the trash always made me hungry and right now, I was famished. I don’t normally get my hands dirty for a woman but, for her, I would do anything. She just doesn’t know it yet. I walked into the kitchen to find Toni sitting and talking to Ana as they ate. I wish I could walk up to her and hug her. Maybe it would make me feel better after the couple of days that I have had. I walked past the kitchen and headed to the stairs leading to my room so that I could shower and change.

“How did it go?” as soon as I put my foot on the first step.

“He won’t be bothering her any time soon. I would like for her to move in here. This is her home. Take a team to move her out of that apartment ASAP.”

“Will do, boss. Thanks for everything,” I nodded and continued up the stairs.

I stood under the spray of the hot water letting it sooth my aching muscles and rinse the blood off of my skin. I didn’t kill him. As much as I wanted to, I will leave that for Oriana when she is ready. Just thinking of her name put images of her in my head. This time, her hands were all over my body. It made me so painfully hard. I needed to find my release. I groaned as I palmed my impressive length while I thought of Ana grinding her hips against me. I couldn’t control myself and quickly erupted over he floor of the shower, the water washing it away. That was the first time I had lost my self control and I doubt it would be the last until I actually get to fuck her. Just then, a thought crossed my mind. How are we going to tell her who she is to all of us, especially to me?

The water started to run cold so, with a deep sigh, I turned off the water and walked out into my room with a towel wrapped around my waist to find some clothes. “Shit!” I said out loud. I just realized that she didn’t have any clothes here. I picked up my phone.

“Hello?”

“Ellie, I need you to do some clothes shopping for Oriana. I will text you her sizes. I need them here today.”

“Of course. The works?”

“Yes, thank you,” I ended the call and continued to get dressed. What the fuck is wrong with me? Since when did I say ‘thank you’ all the time? I was slowly losing my ever loving mind. “I need to speak with Toni,” I said to myself out loud. I put on my shoes, grabbed my phone and headed down to the kitchen.

“How is she doing today?”

“Better. Healing is going to take time but, she’s Ok.”

“How did she take the news about the family?”

“I, I think she’s happy she has a brother? I was afraid to ask her,” he looked at the floor.

“You,” I chuckled, “you’re afraid to ask her how she feels about having a brother?” I just couldn’t help myself.

“I’m happy that I have a brother. I have always wanted one. Always felt like a part of me has been missing all my life. There’s so much to catch up on,” said a sweet, angelic voice from behind us, causing us both to jolt in surprise.

“You look like you have something else to either tell me or discuss with me,” she accused but, she seemed to be able to read us pretty well.

“We do. How about we grab a drink and some food and go and sit in the lounge so that we are comfortable for this?” I suggested.

“Oh boy. This can’t be good,” she sighed.

“Time to tell her everything,” I whispered to Toni.

“Right, are you sure you are up for this? It can always wait for another day,” Toni asked her. She nodded in response and Toni nodded to me to proceed.

“You are a mafia princess. Not just ‘a’, you are ‘the’ mafia princess. Our fathers were partners, best of friends. Your mother was my father’s adopted sister,” she remained silent as she listened to what I had to say. I sighed, trying to find the right words. “As you already know, the man you grew up believing was your biological father was not. Your papa went insane trying to get you and your mamma back from that sick twisted fuck, which resulted in losing the love of his life and his princess because you were put into the system,” she waited for me to continue. I swallowed the lump in my throat. “My father became the new king, taking over the running of the family business, the mafia line, as your father was in no fit state to run it as it should’ve been. Hell, he wasn’t even able to take care of you as he was not in a good mental state to do so. You were only 4 years old.”

“Is he still alive?” she struggled to ask.

“No. He was found slumped over his desk with a bullet hole in his head,” Toni whispered, the sadness evident in his voice. This can’t be easy on him either. He was the one who found him. “He left you a letter though. It’s in the box I gave you.” Oriana stood up and left as fast as she could, given the circumstances and returned moments later with the box in her hands.

“Neither of us have read your letter, so we don’t know what it contains,” I explained.

“What was in your letter?” she asked Toni.

“Just telling me that he was sorry and that he wished he could’ve been a better father. Explained the reasons why he killed himself. Instructions to look out for you, percentage of businesses left to me.”

“Wow!” she was visibly shaking. “Gio?”

“Yes, Princess?”

“Could you..?” she extended her shaking hand with the letter in it out to me. “I’m a little scared.”

“Of course,” I took it from her and tore it open. Just glancing at it made me swear internally and rake my hand through my hair.

“What is it, Gio? Surely it can’t be that bad,” Toni tried to make light of the situation.
