As soon as Ian saw the Alpha, he got to his feet, bowed his head and held out an orientation pack, her student ID and her dorm room key. Ian smiled as Isadora took the pack from him and said,

‘Thank you.’

Alpha Blackmoor cleared his throat, and as Isadora turned to face him, he said.

‘If you need anything, my office door is always open.’

‘Thanks, Alpha. There is one thing…’

‘Yes.’

‘My parents… They didn’t really agree for me to be here, and I would appreciate it, that if they were to contact the Academy, you could deny that I’m here. Please, Alpha.’

Alpha Blackmoor frowned, lifted his hand and swept a loose strand of her hair behind her ear as he inquired.

‘Why didn’t they agree?’

Just that simple question set off Isadora’s anger against what she was as she faced him, straightening her back and taking a small step towards him, fighting the slight Alpha aura he had coming off of him as she said.

‘Because I am an Omega, and as all parents of Omegas in these times, they thought that it was a better idea that instead of allowing me to come here, study and make a life for myself or sending me to the Omega Breeding Centre, they thought it was better to sell me to Alpha Kellen of the Windwalker pack to secure them a profitable alliance.’

Taken a little aback by her directness, a small smile pulls at Alpha Blackmoor's lips again as he himself holds his hands up in surrender and bows his head to her in acknowledgement of how it is for Omegas, turns and walks back into his office, thinking about how interesting the coming semesters will be.

Isadora wasn’t sure if he would consider her request, as he was an Alpha and they usually did as they pleased, no matter the consequences to others like her. Isadora then returned her attention to Ian as he said.

‘Do you need someone to show you around?’

Isadora smiled ‘That would be wonderful, but don’t you have to stay here and work?’

‘Nah. The replacement secretary should be here in about 5 minutes. I’m Professor Ian Callisto. I teach self-defence…’

Isadora smiled and nodded, allowing Ian to escort her out of the orientation building and over to the dorms. Ian shows her up to her dorm room, and as Isadora uses the key to unlock and open the door, another she-wolf turns to face them as they enter.

The she-wolf smiles at Ian and says.

‘Welcome, Professor.’

‘Gwen. This is Isadora; she is your new roommate.’

Gwen smiles as she walks over to stop in front of Isadora and holds out her hand, saying.

‘Hi, I’m Gwendolyn, but everyone just calls me Gwen. It’s nice to meet you.’

As soon as Isadora places her hand in Gwen’s, she grips it tight and pulls her into a hard hug. Isadora could tell that Gwen was a Gamma warrior born. Gwen was surprised when she smelled Omega on Isadora, as she was drawn to her, having the uncharacteristic impulse to protect her.

Curious, Gwen decided to befriend Isadora and see where this impulse led her. With assurances from Gwen that Isadora was now in good hands, Ian bid his farewell and looked forward to seeing what this seemingly feisty little Omega could do in his lectures.

Isadora settled in very quickly; all her professors were nice and didn’t treat her any differently from a normal student, allowing her to excel among the top few students in her lectures, including Professor Ian’s self-defence lecture.

Though she was doing well, Isadora still had to deal with the normal bullying from the other students, especially the other Alpha and Beta females, as being an Omega, she attracted the attention of 98% of all the males.

Isadora tried to keep to herself just as she did growing up; however, a couple of the female students always managed to corner her alone, and though she had the skill of an Alpha, she didn’t have the power of an Alpha, so though she managed to protect herself a little, they always managed to overpower her.

Over the course of the semester, Gwen and Isadora became close friends, even finding a part-time job at the campus cafe. Once the semester was over, they had a two-week break, and Gwen had to return to her pack, leaving Isadora to study and explore the Academy’s vast library.

When the new semester started, Gwen had to remain within her pack for a few weeks longer before returning. The rest of the semester continued just as the first one had, and when exams came to pass and the results were posted, no one could believe that the small Omega managed to place in the top 5 highest-scoring students.

Once the semester was over, Isadora knew that she couldn’t return home, as her father and Casper would insist that she uphold their side of the alliance agreement with Alpha Kellen.

Gwen made sure to clear her request with Alpha Blackmoor and her Alpha, Luke Strongfist, before offering Isadora a visit to her pack and to scope out their library. Isadora was surprised that both Alphas had allowed it; not many would accommodate an Omega of breeding age for anything other than breeding.

The summer break only seemed to start when the 8 weeks were over, and it was time to return to the Academy for the beginning of the next year. Isadora, preoccupied with Gwen laughing beside her, didn’t feel the Alpha male who was watching her.

Professor Alpha Miles Knight had taken a couple of years' leave to grieve the passing of his mate and daughter. He had entered the Werewolf Academy campus courtyard on his way to the orientation building when he had been hit by the most amazing scent.

The last time he had smelled something so tantalising was when he met his Omega mate. Miles stops and stands in the shadows, he scanned the surrounding area until he spots her. An angel, with long blonde hair, thin build but with curves in all the right places and bright hazel eyes.

As Alpha Miles watches her laugh and interact with her friend, his body does something that it hasn’t done in three years. His cock twitches and goes hard, even though he is standing in the shadows, he discreetly reaches down, rubs his palm over the length of his cock before adjusting it to a more comfortable position.

Once she has disappeared into the dorm building Alpha, Miles continues his way to the orientation building to not only sign in and collect his credentials, but to find out who that Omega was and why she was within the Academy campus.

Alpha Miles was surprised to find out that that little Omega had achieved something that even some Alphas have trouble achieving. He nearly lost control of his wolf, Ransom, when she walked into his lecture hall, over to the windows, and sat down in one of the chairs.

Miles fought and reasoned with Ransom that though she was an Omega, she was untouchable due to her student status, which made her protected by the Alpha King, finally getting him to pull back on his Alpha pheromones before they caused him more problems than he was willing to handle at that time.

Keeping himself and his wolf in check, Professor Miles started the lecture by introducing himself.

‘Afternoon. I am Professor Alpha Miles Knight, and as you probably guessed, I am your Werewolf History Professor.’

They didn’t go far after leaving the building.None of them said it out loud, but they were all thinking the same thing. Moving too much right now meant noise. And noise meant attention. So they stopped. They weren’t hiding. They weren’t running. They were simply standing still. The city moved around them as if nothing had happened. Cars passed. Voices drifted through the air. People continued with their lives the same way they always did.But for the three of them, everything felt different.Elarastood near the edge of the pavement, the file still in her hand.It felt heavier now.Not because of what was inside it.Because of what it meant.“They’re not going to chase us,” she said quietly.Adrianstood beside her, looking down the street.“No.”Deborah frowned slightly. “After everything that just happened?”Adriannodded once.“They can’t.”

The first page immediately felt different. It wasn’t a formal report, and it wasn’t organised the way the other records had been.It looked more like a record someone had built over time.Handwritten.Old.At the top of the page were the words:Case Variation: Unresolved.Elarafelt her chest tighten slightly as she turned the page.More notes followed.Different handwriting appeared throughout the pages, different tones, different dates, but the pattern stayed the same.Leadership.Attachment.Intervention.And then deviation. Her fingers slowed as she read.“This one didn’t end the same way,” she said.Adrianstepped closer. “What do you mean?”Elarapointed to a note written in the margin, a single line underlined once.Subject refused separation. Binding unsuccessful.Deborah leaned in closer to read it.“That’s not possible,” she sa

They did not go inside right away. That alone said enough. The three of them remained outside the apartment building for a moment, standing in a quiet pause that was not hesitation but awareness. Once they stepped back inside, they would be reacting again, moving within a structure that had already been laid out for them.None of them wanted that.Adrianwas the first to break the silence.“They’re building a case,” he said.Elararested her weight lightly against the rail beside her. “They already have one.”“Yes,” Adrianreplied calmly. “But they need it to look justified.”Deborah folded her arms. “Which means they’re not finished yet.”Adriannodded once.“They won’t act until they can control the narrative.”Elara’s eyes narrowed slightly as she considered that.“Then we don’t give them one.”Adrianlooked at her, and in that look something shifted. Not def

They had barely gone a short distance when the shift began to creep in. It was not loud, and it did not arrive all at once, but it was there, settling into the air around them. Outside the building, everything felt different from when they had first walked in. The air seemed thinner somehow, like something had been disturbed and the world had not quite finished adjusting to it.Elarawas the first to notice. She slowed slightly, her eyes moving across the street as if she were trying to feel the shape of the moment. “They’re not letting this go,” she said under her breath.Adriankept walking, his pace steady. “No,” he answered.Deborah followed a step behind them, her attention shifting between the street ahead and the building they had just left behind. “They’ve never lost control like that before,” she said.Adriancame to a stop, not sharply, just enough to break the rhythm of their movement.“They didn’t lose control,” he

Elaradidn’t rush forward when she entered the room, and that alone changed the atmosphere. Instead, she moved slowly, letting her eyes travel across the space the way Adrianhad earlier. But unlike him, she wasn’t measuring strength or pressure. She was studying the design. The markings on the floor immediately caught her attention. Their spacing was deliberate, the lines arranged in a way that suggested purpose rather than decoration. Even the air in the room felt strangely responsive, but only when Adrianmoved within the boundary. The more she observed, the clearer it became that nothing about this setup was random. Every element had been built to react. Her gaze lifted to Adrian. He was still standing inside the marked boundary, completely controlled, his posture steady as he watched her approach.“You came anyway,” he said.“I had to see it,” Elarareplied calmly. His expression sharpened slightly. “Then you already

They didn’t send a letter. They didn’t schedule a meeting. They came themselves. It was late afternoon when the knock came at the door. Not loud. Not hesitant.Just precise.Adrianwas already standing before the second knock sounded.Elarastayed where she was. She didn’t need to move to know what this meant. This was it.Deborah opened the door.Three people stood outside. Not guards. Not enforcers.Council representatives. In some ways, that was worse.“They’re not waiting anymore,” Deborah said quietly as she stepped aside. The three figures entered without asking.Calm. Composed. As if the decision had already been made long before they arrived.Adrian stood in the centre of the room, still and controlled.“What is this?” he asked. The older woman stepped forward. There was no polite performance this time.
