Aryan cursed himself for getting lost in his memories and not noticing the time. It has become very customary for the police in these public tourist places to get rid of parked vehicles after late hours, harass the public to pocket some extra money by laying false charges for parking, or even become moral police, by objecting to young people being seen together in public etc.
"Chandni, you stay inside, sometimes these guys can be very obnoxious." Aryan opened the car door slowly but Chandni didn't pay heed to his advice and got out of the car from the other end as she looked at the constable defiantly, much to Aryan's exasperation.
Aryan and Chandni finally opened up to each other and agreed not to feel bitter about their past anymore. How did you find this chapter?

ARMY Service HeadQuarters, Mumbai "Are you sure of your facts?" Avinash Thakur's piercing eyes bored in to the face of the person sitting opposite him, even though he was his old friend. The mighty Brigadier of Indian Army may have left active field service to become the Director General of Acquisition and Procurement at DGQA, (Service Headquarters) but his gaze and manners were still as sharp as ever. "You can see for yourself when he comes here later." The person opposite replied casually, his Cigar still in his mouth, even though out of flame. "By the way how and why did you meet him in Goa?" he asked, after a brief pause. Avinash took his time before answering. He asked for his old friend's cigar but got r
Raj Singh and Vikram entered the spacious chamber of Avinash Thakur. As Vikram did the introduction, which was followed by casual chit chat, Avinash assessed the man before him. In his long Military career with the latter years spent as a Judge, Avinash had a knack to assess people quickly and find out what makes them tick, what triggered the right response from them. He could see that Raj Singh was a highly emotional man and took pride in the fact that he was a self-made man, and was slightly temperamental too. He could also sense that Raj Singh felt a bit self-conscious in the company of the military men on either side. Avinash brought out seldom used charming manners, became more cordial than necessary and ensured that Raj Singh was put to ease. "Raj Singh Ji, Vikram and I go back a long way. When I knew that he bought your company which manufactures trans
The moment Atharv woke up, Chandni made sure that she greeted him with a tight hug and a kiss and gave him all the presents she somehow managed to hide for the past few days.Vikram had left the house quite early in the morning but promised Chandni that he will be back for lunch and will try to spend the rest of the day with both of them.Chandni opened all the presents along with Atharv and played with him for some time before busying herself in the kitchen and making sure she prepared all his favourite dishes. As Promised Vikram arrived at lunch hour and brought his own gift, a set of all the latest popular games for his PlayStation console and Atharv was ecstatic to say the least. But Chandni strictly forbade him to play any of the games right then as she knew
Two days later 7PM Sunday. Chandni emerged from the shower and quickly wrapped the new Silk Saree she bought for the housewarming party. She already felt exhausted and tired. All afternoon, she was busy overseeing the decorations and last-minute arrangements, and liaising with the event management team. Her tummy grumbled, reminding her that she hardly ate anything since breakfast as she was too busy, much to the ire of Nargis Chachi. But her biggest task had been to keep Atharv engaged and away from all the rush. She finally made sure he had an early dinner, and was taken away to Nargis Chachi's room by their housekeeper Shyamli, along with his iPad to keep him occupied. Vikram and Chandni even had a row about it earlier, as Vikram was of the opinion that excluding Atharv from the function w
Aryan was in two minds again whether to go to the housewarming party or not after his not so warm encounter with Chandni at the Football ground. But the matter was taken completely out of his hand when he heard a knock on his apartment door, and Rithika walked in along with Sachi and Sanjana. They completely pushed aside all his lame excuses for not being able to attend, and forced him to actually dress up.He almost had to shut the bedroom door on Rithika's face as she tried to force him to wear the suit she chose for him, making her furious. He apologised to her later of course, explaining that he rarely let anyone choose what he wore, which finally brought back the smile on her face."Ok Aryan, I want to leave my car here, because I hate driving in this traffic. Let's all go to the party in your car. And then, we
When your heart bleeds, bursting with the pain, the torn soul yearns for release, and your tears turn crimson. -- Celestial_SesiAryan gently tapped on Chandni's cheek."Chandni! Chandu! Are you okay? Please wake up! Let's go inside." There was no response from Chandni and Aryan wasn't sure if it was OK to carry her inside in this stage, if the guests were still around. He frantically looked around if anyone saw or noticed them, but thankfully this marquee was in a corner and well covered on all three sides. As his eyes roamed back to Chandni, his heart felt again that familiar tug and a deep sense of protectiveness. He was suspicious of her behaviour since he saw her, as she looked
Aryan anxiously looked at Chandni, who sat, almost still, with her eyes closed. He called her a couple of times but there was no response."Chandu, look at me. Please!! If you are feeling sleepy, why don't you lie down? I will get you some water. Maybe you will feel better afterwards! Just say something first!" Aryan knew he was rambling, but he didn't know how to make her come out of the current state.A slow smile developed on Chandni's face again and she snapped her eyes open, but they no longer looked playful or sad."Seriously Aryan!! Does drinking water make me feel better?" She asked sarcastically, rolling her eyes and cupping her face with both her hands. Aryan noticed that she had reverted to calling him Aryan again."And why do you think I need to feel be
Slowly, with much difficulty, Aryan tore his gaze away from her, as he noticed the beads of perspiration on her forehead. "Chandu DON'T!!! Please. Don't say anything that you will regret forever and don't tempt me to do something, which will then give you more reason to hate me than you already do. You are not in your control at the moment. I don't even know whether to believe you or not!!" Aryan clenched his hands tightly and pleaded with Chandni. "You still think that I hate you? Even after all that I said just now?" Chandni's eyes welled with tears again. Aryan's heart suffused with desperate love and longing for the woman standing in front of him, the only woman he ever loved, but so cruelly out of his life now. He felt compelled to answer her question with his own.
