Chapter 19

SIERRA

We sit there on the hospital bed snuggled together for what felt like hours. I am still in his arms and now the intensity of the currents is way more than the first time. Suddenly, I realise that I am naked beneath his shirt and whatever this need is to be close to him becomes overwhelming. I quickly move away from his embrace and settle back on the cushions of the hospital bed.

I do not have the courage to look into his eyes and see his expression. I do not know what I will see in his eyes. I do not want to see those black predatory orbs. I want to see those blue eyes clear like the ocean which always tries to pull me into their depths to seek the secrets lying within. Those blue eyes are a lot more welcoming than the black eyes. I wonder why this colour change is happening. I haven't ever heard of a wolf with changing eye colours.
