Staring at Ava for some seconds, Xander smiles with his heart filled with joy because Susan thinks highly of him in all things. At least for letting him know she will be okay and won't be following him home. He is not in the dark as Ava speaks. However, he looks at her and smile, leaving the corridor where Ava has been standing to fill in words into his head. Seeing him walk out with such a smile on his face must have made her look like a fool, and whatever she said had made no impact on him or his thoughts.

Walking back into his office, he listens to side whispers as everyone is busy looking out and those who aren't looking are obviously talking about it right from when John entered the company's reception to inquire about Susan. She is known facially, but not everyone knows her name. As John sat whilst waiting for her, other workers saw him while passing, "Damm... He's cute." One whisper. "You don't say... I wonder who he could be waiting for? If it's she, then she's definitely luck
