Making Up

THE NEXT day, Samantha woke up early than Andrius. When she got down in their kitchen, she saw her father sipping on his cup of coffee while reading a newspaper. Well, nothing changes. Her father's routine was always like that.

“Good morning, Dad,” she greeted.

“Princess, you’re early today,” he said. There he goes with the princess thing again. It sounds too girly. And she’s not used to it, but she kind of likes it.

We will be having our final practice for the event tomorrow,” she replied.

The old man put down the newspaper on the side of the table.

“I’m so proud of you, Samantha. And your mom will even more proud when she’s still alive.”

A maid put down a plate of toasted bread in front of her and a jam beside it. “Thank you,” she said to the woman before she looks back to her father.

She grabbed a piece of bread and a butter knife to spread jam on it. “Hmm… about mom, dad. When will we visit her grave?” she asked.

Her father sighed. “I will just finish all my projects this year and maybe we can visit her.”

She nodded.

“Anyway, how’s going on between you and Andrius, princess?” he asked.

She flashed a smile, but her father seems to sense that there was something wrong.

“Are you sure?”

She nodded and grabbed another piece of bread.

“I’m just wondering why you didn’t bother to knock on his door and wake him up before going downstairs and it’s unusual that you’re having breakfast with me, sweetie. Since you always woke up at eight and it’s just six in the morning,” he said.

She faked a cough before giving a bite of her bread. “Dad… I told you, we will be having a final practice,” she said.

“You know that the practice won’t last a day, it will only take hours and you usually start at nine. After Andrius will drop you down at the Studio.”

“Dad…”

“Okay. Okay. I won’t ask about it. You know, a lover’s quarrel is normal to couples—”

“Dad. We’re not having LQ okay?” she stood up. “I need to leave. Helen will pick me up. Can you please tell Andrius that—”

“Tell what?”

Her eyes widened when she heard his voice. As she was facing her dad, and her back facing the entrance of the kitchen hall, she couldn’t see the man’s reaction.

She closes her eyes.

“Andrius, son. Come here. Samantha and I were enjoying our breakfast,” her father said.

She opened her eyes. “Dad, I just need to have a quick shower,” she said and turned around. Now, she’s facing Andrius.

The man's thick brows furrowed, hands inside his pockets, and eyes looking at her menacingly. She then looked away and started to walk.

She was about to pass him by when the man grabbed her arm and pulled her closer to him.

“Andrius…” she mumbled.

“Do we have a problem, Sam?” he asked but he was not looking at her and he did call her ‘Sam’, not ‘babe’.

‘Yes, we have,’ she thought.

She held his hand which is on her arm and pulled it away to let her go. “I-I just need to have a shower. Excuse me,” she said and rushed to the second floor.

When she was done fixing herself, she was off to go. Helen texted her that she was on her way. And she will just need to wait for her text, confirming that she already arrives.

She heaved a deep sigh when she remembers what happened earlier. She knew she was being too dramatic but damn, it was her pride who got hit. If only he knew that it was hard for her to do it even if she has a lot of experience giving a seductive show to others, she’s still not comfortable doing it in front of Andrius. Yes, she did a lap dance for him, but that was the time that she was been confused with the familiarity of the man.

A sudden knock cut the hum of her thoughts.

She looked at her phone but still no message from Helen. She then walked towards the door since the person outside seems in s rush because of the countless right-fourth knocks.

Her eyes widen when she gasped, the moment she saw who it was.

“Andrius…”

She met his eyes—scorching, flashing a piercing stare and studying her with unforgiving judgment. His muscles flicked angrily in his jaw. But suddenly, his anger disappeared.

“Let’s talk,” he said and sighed. She just nodded and let him in.

“DID I do something wrong?” Andrius asked the moment he met her eyes.

She shook her head and looked away. Her eyes darted to the leaves of the trees swaying near her window. A bluebird landed on its branch. She unconsciously smiled… mesmerize by the beauty of it which makes Andrius's forehead crease.

He hemmed to catch the girl’s attention.

“Sam…” he muttered. “What’s going on?”

She turned to him. “It’s nothing, Andrius. I’m just preoccupied because of work. You know that after I’ve got an offer to be a model. Victoria’s Secret is a huge company, and I don’t know, and I don’t think I suit the job.”

“Liar.”

Her eyes widened as she gasped. “What?”

“You’re lying to me, Sam,” his eyes never leave hers. Thus, she felt conscious and started to tremble.

‘I-I’m not. It… It’s true that I’ve been thinking about it.” Well, part of it. But the real thing she’s been sulking about was the one that happened last night. She swallowed her pride and courageously dared to seduce him since she knew that the man wants her. But she doesn’t know that Andrius has great control over his libido.

Andrius chuckled and shook his head. “I knew it,” he said. “This is about last night, am I correct?” A sly smirk formed on his lips.

“Excuse me?” She put her hands on her waist and glared at him.

He just laughed and walk closer to her. “Come one, babe…”

She scoffed, “now, you’re calling me babe? Why not just Sam or Samantha, hmm… Andrius?” she said as she stepped backward. “Don’t come near me,” she added.

Andrius laughed.

“Funny.”

The man nodded, “and you’re like a five-year-old kid, who’s nagging because I didn’t give her what she wants. Come on, baby,” he said as he keeps on moving forward.

She then stepped back once more but her back bumped into the door.

“So, dead-end?” he teased.

“Screw you. Don’t. you. dare,” she warned and stretch her arms forward.

“Try me,” he replied and in one swift move, Andrius held her on the waist and pulled her closer to him.

“Let go of me, Andrius!” she roared.

“Shh… they might hear us,” he said, still a smirk flustered on his face.

She cursed but one moment, she felt his lips pressed into hers—warm and sweet.

She tried to wiggle but the man was strong enough not to let her go.

His lips started to move gently as he nibbled her lower lip… giving a light sound. “I love you,” said Andrius between their lips.

She closes her eyes and clings her arms to his nape.

Like whom the hell is she to resist the warmth feeling?

She then met each stroke of his lips, giving the same warmth as his. He bit her lip slightly which makes her gasp and gives a small opening in her mouth. Andrius then entered his tongue inside her mouth and started to fence hers.

His hand started to travel on her shoulders down to her piles, and he was about to put his hand inside, a knock cut the hum of their pleasures.

Andrius cursed and she burst into a laugh.

The man put his hands on her sides, caging her, and took a deep breath. “Next time, I will make sure that I can have you,” he whispered into her left ear before letting her go.

She fixed herself before opening the door.

It’s their made. “Ma’am, your friend Helen is waiting for you downstairs,” she informed.

“I’ll be there in a minute. Thank you,” she replied.

She closed the door again and faced her boyfriend who was now sitting on her bed.

“Helen and I agreed on a girl’s day, and I’m sorry if I only informed you about it at this moment,” she said as she walked closer to him.

The man brushed his hands into his black silky hair and pinch the bridge of his nose and nodded.

“I understand.” He looked up which makes her stop walking. “I’ve also an appointment with Ms. Tania.”

“The young actress? Well, not young though. I think we have the same age,” she said.

“Yes. She wants to make her a portfolio—”

“So, she’ll be naked then?” Lit of jealousy flashed within her voice.

“Huh?”

“I said, you’ll take a shot of her, naked?”

“Yes. That’s a part of it,” he answered.

“Okay—”

“Trust me, okay? I won’t do a thing that will hurt you,” he reached for her hand and held it, “I love you.”

She nodded, “I know. I trust you.”

“But I hate the idea that they offer you to be a model for Victoria’s Secret.”

“It’s just for three months and I haven’t totally decided if I will pursue it or not. Since, I need to travel from one place to another, which will be a hassle and Dad wants me to be hands-on with the company—I don’t know. Anyway, I need to go,” she said and kissed him on the lips, but the man pulled her closer as he held her on the back of her head and deepen the kiss.

He then let go of her after seconds and flashed a smirk on his face. “Off you go. Don’t forget to call me,” he said.
