Can't Be Done

“GEEZ! Samantha. You have a huge and elegant house,” said Helen. “I wish I could leave with this kind of house too,” she added.

She smiled, “you can move here if you want. The house is open for you,” she said.

“Really? Can I?” she asked and grasped her hand while her eyes wander around.

“Yes, you can. We’re looking for a new maid—”

Helen slapped her shoulder. “Don’t tell me, you’re thinking that it should be me?” she asked and pouted her lips.

“Just kidding,” she replied and laughed. “Let’s go,” she added.

Helen owns an auto, but she did buy it in the Class A shop. Well, money matters most with her friend. Besides, according to her, there’s no difference between new and old. They both have the same car that is meant to be driven.

Helen got a weird taste in everything, and she has no say about that. What Helen said, it will stay like that.

“So, Andrius permitted you to have fun with me?” she started and opened the door in the driver’s seat. She opened it on her side and went in.

“Yes. He has worked too,” she replied.

“Oh, I saw your dad, earlier. Hmm… honey,” she paused and looked at me, her hands on the steering wheel, “do you want me to be your momma?” she asked which makes her pinched her shoulder. “Ouch!” exclaimed Helen. “I’m just joking.”

“Silly. Hmmm…” she acted like she was thinking, “maybe. If Dad wants you,” she said.

Helen laughed as she started the car engine. “But honestly, your dad is handsome despite his age. He’s already in his mid-fifties, right?” she asked as she maneuvered the car.

She buckled up her seatbelt. “Yes, fifty-two. If I’m not mistaken.”

“Whoa… And I’m thirty-six. Sixteen years age gap was not too far. And age is just a number. Do you think he will like me?” she asked.

“Stupid. He will like you—”

“Really?” she cuts in.

“Let me finish first,” she said back. “He will like you. and there’s no doubt of that. But Dad devoted his heart only to my mom, and I don’t think he will learn to love someone else again after her. It’s been years passed by and he never opens his heart to others, what’s more with you? So… the thing you want could be blurry.”

Helen burst into laughter. “Let’s see about that. Your father looked like my childhood crush, Leonardo DiCaprio. And Leonardo is just forty-six years old, and his girlfriend is twenty-three years old if I’m not mistaken, they have an age gap of more than two decades. So… there’s a possibility,” Helen stated.

Samantha shook her head in disbelief.

“GOOD MORNING, AN,” Ms. Tania greeted. The woman approaches him and gives a soft kiss on his cheeks which makes him stunned—as he didn’t expect it.

“G-Good day, Ma’am.”

“Come on. Drop the formality. You can call me Tania,” she said. “Sit down, please,” she added.

He then sat down on the leather sofa inside the woman’s suit. He doesn’t want the idea of meeting her inside her hotel room, but Ms. Tania is a VIP and pays big time.

“So, AN—”

“Just Andrius, Tania,” he said.

An O formed on the woman’s lips. “Okay then, Andrius. How are you? It’s a pleasure meeting you like this. I’ve heard so much about how great you are and I’m a fan of yours,” she said, exaggeratedly.

“Thank you for that, Tania.”

The woman bit her lower lip and looked at him seductively. She bends her body down as she wears just a silky Long A-Line Sleeveless Top, her cleavage peeking.

It’s normal for him to see girls with their cleavage showing. Every day he saw ladies anywhere wearing daring clothes. But it has no effect on him, not unless it’s Sam.

But Tania doing something to show some private skin—he deduced that the woman wants to flirt with him.

“When do we start with the shots?” she asked and bit her lower lip.

He smiled and trying not to scold the woman and slapped her face that he’s already taken. But Tania is a customer. So, he needs to have patience and respect, and always bring professionalism when he’s at work.

“We can when you’re ready,” he said.

ANDRIUS started to take shots of Tania for almost thirty minutes. But the woman seems to have a dark scheme. Still, he did his job accordingly and ignored her.

“Try to lift your chin a little bit,” he suggested when they were taking her last piece. The woman is barely naked but has a white cloth covering her chest down to her private part. Tania is lying on her leather sofa, on hand on her left cheek while her legs are pressed together.

“Like this?” she said and do what he said. But when the woman moved, the right tip showed up as the sheet pushed down a little bit.

Andrius closes his eyes to hold his temper. ‘This is work, Andrius,’ he thought. ‘Calm yourself, and don’t try to scold her,’ he added.

He took one shot before the woman flaunts another pose. This time, the woman took off the sheet and it fell on the floor.

He sighed before taking another shot.

As he adjusted the camera to take a better view, the woman smiled mischievously.

“Come closer, Andrius,” she commanded which makes his brows furrow. “Let me see if I did great,” she added.

Andrius wanted to roll his eyes but never did. He then went closer and show some of her shots.

The woman got up to look closely, seems not to be bothered with her nakedness, and never tend to grab the sheet and cover her body.

‘Damn, woman!’ He cursed inside his mind.

“You did great, Tania. And I think this is enough,’ he said and stood up.

The woman looked at him and nodded. Tania stood up and stand in front of him. She extended her arm and seems to want to shake hands, but he was wrong, because the moment he was about to accept it, the woman suddenly grabbed his hand and pulled it, and it landed on her pile.

But Andrius pulled it over. “What are you doing?” his voice roared inside the room as he distances himself from her. But the woman seems possessed and walks closer to him trying to hold him but he resisted and wiggles.

“Why are you being picky, Andrius? Let’s have some me time,” she said, seductively.

He stopped and the woman approached him. She enveloped her arms around his waist.

He closes his eyes to control his anger. He respected Ms. Tania but he never expects the girl can be like this.

“Excuse me,” he removed her hands with all his strength, “but I have a girlfriend. And if you won’t stop, I can’t promise that I will still be a gentleman, having respect for you,” he warned.

But the woman just laughed. Every man dies just to have my body, but you… you just embarrass me?”

The woman is crazy.

“I give respect and rendered a service, professionally, with those who also respect me. My apology, Ms. Tania, but you’re not being professional with me. Not all time a man could crave for your body, not me. Let’s end this, and I hope we will not meet again,” he said while he tries to control his anger.

The woman was left stunned and let him go without a word.

They didn’t talk yet about the payment but seeing how desperate she was, he will just let it be free. And if the woman has a conscience, and drops six digits on his bank account, then he will be grateful, but it doesn’t change the fact that the woman made him feel disgusted towards her.

It’s his first time dealing with that kind of person. Thus, he will never work privately with just himself and the client.

Samantha is the only exception beyond everything.

“Andrius?”

He stopped when someone called him. He was about to leave the hotel and open the exit door when a familiar voice called his name.

He then turned around and was a little bit shocked when he saw Maddison.

“Andy!” the woman approaches him, “it’s you,” she said.

“Maddy, what brought you here to Vegas?” he asked.

He doesn’t know if it’s just a coincidence or not, knowing how Maddison was head over heels for him since their college life—he can’t help to be suspicious about it.

“I’ve met with our client here, and I didn’t expect to see you,” she said.

“Did your client leave?” he asked.

“Not yet—oh, he’s there,” she said and pointed to a man whom he concluded might be older than him. “He’s an investor in our company. Dad couldn’t make it, so, he let me do the job.”

He looked at the guy approaching their place. Holding his black suitcase. Well, seems like she’s telling the truth.

“Okay. Nice seeing you,” he said and was about to leave her when Maddy grabbed his arm.

“Wait. Let's grab something for it. You know, I’m already done with the deal, and I will be leaving Vegas at three in the afternoon. Maybe we can have a short chat,” she said.

He removed her hands that grasp his arm and smiled. “I’m sorry to decline your offer but I already have an appointment. I just met with a client here too and was off to go. It happened that I bumped into you,” he replied. "I'll be having lunch with Samantha," he added.

The woman winced. “Okay. Maybe next time,” she finally said.

He nodded and leave. He felt a pang of slight guilt rejecting her childhood friend's offer but Samantha is more important. And Maddy seems to make him feel uncomfortable being with her.
