Her eyes opened leisurely and a soft yawn escaped her lips when she woke up. The moment she peeked at her room which was dark as the lights were off, she realized that she needed to cook something for dinner. 

Those half closed eyes shot open and she gasped. Clutching the bedsheet, she sat straight upon the bed. She immediately looked at her right, on the table, on which the alarm clock was resting. She checked the time and realized it is already eight o’clock. 

“Oh—,” and the curse died down on her tongue when she inhaled the hot aroma that reached her nostrils. 

She frowned and got down from the bed. Her feet automatically made their way to the stairs and she inhaled the aroma once again.
