Amalthea's POV

"Was it Alpha Nicholson?" Fredrick asked once Jade was out of earshot.

"What?" I furrowed my brows at him.

"The man who helped you escape the guards and you ran off with. Was it Nicholson?" Fredrick clarified but I was still confused.

"I'm not even angry anymore Amalthea, I just want the truth." He told me as he ran his hands through his hair.

"I don't know what you are talking about Fredrick," I frowned at him as we continued walking and fell in step with each other.

"Lilian told me everything that happened," he shrugged.

"She told you how she sold me off?" My eyebrows shot up.

"What are you even talking about?" Fredrick frowned at me. It was obvious there was a big vacuum in what we thought had happened.

"What exactly did Lilian tell you?" I inquired.

"How a man helped you out of the van and you left with him. You never actually made it to the prison," he revealed and my eyes bulged.

    Amalthea's POV I stormed out of the ballroom as I suddenly felt suffocated.
