'You were poisoned' Clara's words rang in my head as I stared up at the infirmary ceiling. I still felt weak and zapped of strength and the only thing I could do was look around as any other movements caused me pain.

Fear trickled within me as I realized I was really in danger here but who had poisoned me? Clara was the one who usually brought in my meals but could she possibly have…

"Thea," Lux called out from within me.

"Lux, where have you been?" I asked hurriedly. Ever since I had woken up, I had tried to reach Lux but she had been dormant and unresponsive within me.

"I had to protect our child from the poison Thea and that drained my life force," she explained and tears stung the back of my eyes.

"She could have died Thea, I have a feeling that poison was specifically aimed to hurt her more than it was for you." Lux told me and I had to agree, the same thoughts had been running through my head all morning.
