Melissa smiled after she spoke and carried the tea towards her, sitting down in front of her. She wasn't really good at making tea and she prayed secretly praying that Margaret loved it. She took a sip and glanced at her.

"This is actually less horrifying than I thought it would be," she said.

Melissa didn't know whether to take that as an insult or a praise. She just smiled back weirdly.

“I have a question to ask you actually, " Margret said.

Melissa nodded, indicating she could ask.

"What did you mean yesterday when you said you have a ton of experience?" She asked. "And don't feed me with a silly lie," she warned.

Melissa smiled and exhaled. She knew it would come to this and now she had to decide. Did she want to tell her and trust her, or was she gonna just let her go. Normally, if it was about her leadership, she would have wanted her to stay a billion times over but this was also a matter of her heart and her trust.

Though the fact was there was nothing to distru

Melissa and Beatrice clicked open the door to the security team's door and it buzzed red. Before they could even react to the shock, sentinels surrounded them with guns pointed at two of them. The sentinels were unlike the ones that had even guarded her. These ones wore black all through and their clothes appeared to be made of a thicker kind of fabric."Get on your knees now!" Their leader screamed, as Melissa glanced at their bodies, it was filled with a series of red lights.Beatrice exhaled and Melissa could see her breath, the temperature had started to drop, she was about to use abilities. At that moment, she realized the councilwoman had assumed the role of Richard and ws ready ro protect her from any form of danger. She however held her hand out to her and the councilwoman calmed down."I order you to put down your guns," Melissa said without a shred of emotion. Her voice was cold and direct and she had expended a bit of her aura shen she spoke, adding a domineering stance

They were currently in the royal dining room that has not necessarily been functioning due to the current precarious situation of things. Melissa remembered how her father used to make sure every single one of the council members attended the royal dining at least once in a week. They'd all dine together and speak about things that didn't relate to politics at all. He tried his best to bring them all together. She remembered the smiles and jokes that usually happened. It was only her mom that was never really present there. Dreykov always had something stupid to say and she was always sneak talking with Richard about something. She suddenly felt a wave of stupidity that it took her this long to know Richard was her mate. She giggled unconsciously and Richard bodied her a bit. "What's that for?" She looked at him as she glared at the computer screen waiting for it to finish copying the files. "You were smiling weirdly," he said."I was just smiling, what do you mea

Melissa stared at the two women blankly, she obviously didn't understand what they meant by the "people's love." She understood that she was a good enough queen, and some of the people liked her, but she also understood that there would be people who didn't. That was exactly what ruling is — understanding that you can never please every single person in your kingdom. Melissa sighed and cocked her head sideways, her eyebrows raised as she asked. "What do you mean by the people's love?"They didn't answer her at first as both of them were busy doing what Melissa realised to be a betting transaction. Beatrice stretched her hand out immediately as Margaret begrudgingly pulled out some cash, handing it to the councilwoman. She grinned happily as she collected the money. "You guys bet on me?" Melissa asked in surprise."Yep," Beatrice replied.Melissa squinted her face. "So you bet that I wouldn't understand the plan…?" She asked Beatrice with the look of betrayal evident in her e

Arya walked into the hospital and bowed a bit to Erica, to which she responded with a slight nod. Hance and her however just stared at each other and Richard bowed to Hance too.s5 The entire hierarchy of the two kingdoms was explained with those small gestures."I am sorry we barged in,"Arya said. "We just got a call from our council members and they would want us to be with them as they do not trust you to protect us and neither do they trust your allegiance,"she said."Allegiance? Trust? What is going on?" Melissa asked. She could sense that with the way she was speaking, she was trying to speak as officially as she could while screaming for help underneath. Their emotional disposition allowed her to understand that something was wrong. They generated insane fear from within them even though they decided to hide it on their face."I think you need to see this," Arya said, handing her phone to Erica.Richard snatched it midway, glancing at both Hance and Arya with caution

They led him into the hospital wing where only one man laid, unconscious. The heart monitor beeped sequentially as they walked into the room. Series of tubes were attached to the man as he breathed heavily through the oxygen mask that was attached to his nose.Nathaniel took a peep at the man who was unconscious and he bulged his eyes. "That is…'' he pointed at the man and glanced back. "How… what…?" He paused. "You know what, I am going to do my job first, then I will start asking the questions I should be asking," he said, exhaling. "I need reports on his vitals and a report on what the hell in the world happened to him."Richard turned around immediately and walked out of the ward. Melissa also glanced at the man's face, it's currently emotionless and peaceful allure made him seem like he was just an innocent aging man. But the Infernal was far from innocent and honestly, Melissa didn't think he was aging. She narrated the events that had transpired to Nathaniel, leaving

Nathaniel took a few breathers as he sat down, exhaustion written all over his face. He drank a few gulps of water and then exhaled. Melissa and Richard sat in front of him, giving him all the time in the world to recover. The nurses had started to rearrange the entire hospital wing that Theresa had trashed. Melissa could never have thought she had such violence within her. Even when she knew she was a member of the Oracle, she always had a gentle allure to herself. "She was unconscious when he placed down here," Nathaniel began, breathing haphazardly. "Calm down first," Richard said. "Take your time." Melissa chuckled. Nathaniel was just a genius and a businessman, he was obviously not cut for combat. The fact that it had taken the entire hospital to pin Theresa down and how she and her mate had knocked her out in just a few seconds made her grateful for everything Beatrice and Richard had taught her. "No… no," Nathaniel said, exhaling again. "I am fine now, all is wel
