C H A P T E R 52

Krystal lay on the sofa, reading a magazine, with her feet on Xavier's lap. Xavier has one hand fiddling and playing with her toes while the other one is holding a pen, scribbling down something into his black notebook, as she notices.

He's quiet and looks so focused on whatever he's doing. Krystal peeks her head from the magazine to take a look at him and he's so glued to it.

She sits up, drops the magazine, and moves closer to him, "What are you doing?" She asks.

Xavier snaps his head towards her and before she can take a look at what he has written, he closes his notebook. "Nothing."

Krystal shot her brow up. "It's nothing. What were you writing?"

"None." He shakes his head, denying it.

She glared at him, studying his face and she see that he was lying to her. He has written something in his notebook and by the looks of it, it's something important. She spread her arms and try to reach for the notebook but Xavier has it first, pulling it away from her reach.
