Chapter 7.

Eddie’s POV

I was so sad as I watched Amelia got into the cab angrily, ignoring me. I brought out my phone and dialed her number but she wasn’t picking up.

Fuck! I muttered to myself.

I wanted to apologized to her for what I did in the past and also explained to him about my present situation but she wasn’t ready to listen to me. I walked back into the hall, took Chloe to her nanny and then went to continued my discussion with my guests as it would be rude if I left the hall without proper goodbye.

I was finally able to excused myself from the guests, asking James, my personal assistant to take over. I returned back to my house with Chloe and her nanny.

“Dad, mom said she is coming back this weekend,” Chloe said to me immediately I took her to her room. Hearing about her mother, Jenna, infuriated me but I maintained my composure in the presence of Chloe. I forced a smile and then bent down to her level.

“Are you that excited to meet your mom?” I asked her.
