Chapter 9.

Amelia’s POV

I was so happy for Blair that she would be having a new family of her own after the death of her parents seven years ago. I glanced at her and I could see the happiness written all over face. One could easily tell that she was in love and not just with anyone but to the love of her life.

I turned my attention back to the surroundings and I could see some changes around. Just then she made a stop at an intersection. My eyes wandered around and just then landed on the biggest building in New York City, Stark Investment.

I stiffened at the sight of it. I turned to Blair who also noticed the change in my mood as I asked her to start the car and drive away from there.

“Are you okay, Amelia?” She asked.

“I’m fine, Blair. Let’s just get out of here,” I said to her, struggling to keep my eyes from going back to the building. I shifted uncomfortably in my seat and cursed silently as my eyes eventually and inevitably started back to the building once again.
