Isabella's POV.

“What do you mean by that?”

“Ask him.” I glared at Alex, who tried to play dumbfounded.

If he thinks he can fool people, I'm not in the category of the people he can full.

“What?” He snapped.

Alpha Sarah stood up and tilted her head a bit.

“What do you mean by what?”

“Are you accusing me again?” He scoffed softly.

“That's enough!” Mrs. Sophie butted in with a yell. “I think we should all take a step back and think. We don't need any of these right now.”

“Of course, and that's what I'm trying to do.” Alpha Sarah retorted. “I want to know why everything and everyone in this pack revolves around this person, that should be a question I should pay quality attention to.” She added.

Seeing the way she behaved, I felt a pang of guilt prick through my skin for not telling her the truth.

“Stop it, Isabella. You can't trust anyone, remember? They all brought pain to your family and this new person, nobody knows if she can be trusted.” Layla said, and I second her thought.
