My eyes were heavy with boredom and the need to run away from this place. Ken always said I was slowly becoming a hermit and disliking people; maybe he was right because this party was filled with business owners and competitors, and in my world of billionaires, the jealousy among competitors was overwhelming.

But I tried to stay. After all, I couldn't make it on my own without communicating and engaging in conversations with people who are better than I am.

I gazed around the surroundings, wondering about Ashanti's whereabouts, and frowned when I spotted her in the company of some dude who was trying to warm up to her. Although I had a strong desire to yank his hand off her body, I reminded myself that she was my employee and not my girlfriend.

"Oh, there you are, Chadwick." The host, Mr. Tim Walker, approached me with a smile. The man had a big belly, possibly from consuming alcohol.

"You're doing a great job with the software installation for our laptops and gadgets.
