LOGINTons of thoughts were going through Festus’ head at a time, he could not admit to seeing Dimitri as that would definitely put him into trouble, he could not lie either because if they later found out he knew then it would still be trouble.
Moko frowned, he disliked things that wasted his time. "Speak, boy!" He snapped.
"I ... I don't know Leader." Festus decided to answer like that besides he didn't lie, he really did not know where Dimitri’s tree bed landed.
Moko looked at him with disgust, after wasting his time the boy did not even give a reasonable response.
He turned to leave, "The moment you see her tell her to return home immediately." He ordered and walked away.
Festus finally let out a full breath, a sigh of relief "Dimitri, please be safe," he prayed in a whisper.
(BEYOND THE ISLAND)- THE WOODS
Dimitri was placed with her back on a wooden bed with piles of leaves wrapped together to serve as a pillow under her head, her purple hair with strands of silver sprawled over it.
Her eyes lids pulled open slowly, the sunlight shone directly into her eyes so she shut it quickly before opening them again when she had adjusted to the brightness.
Last she recalled was falling into the sea then entering into a deep dream, she rubbed her temples, her head ached.
"Have I been here before?" She looked around carefully as she knotted her brows in confusion.
The room seemed really similar to the one in her dream.
She sat up carefully as her eyes roamed the room, everything appeared so strange to her.
Did another place asides their Island really exist? It seemed unbelievable.
"Where am I?" She whispered out to herself.
She was about to get up from the bed when she heard a growling sound approaching her and she quickly laid back on the bed to pretend she was still sleeping.
The closer the sound, the tighter she shut her eyes. 'What kind of animal could make such a noise?' She thought to herself as she could feel her heart beat fasten.
The sound now seemed to come from inside the room she was in.
She gulped as she maintained her position. She knew how to fight, so she only needed be calculative and fast. She started to count in her head, "1, 2, 3, 4…" as the numbers rose, the sound drew closer.
Suban’s wolfapproached the bed stealthily like a thief, but before he could even growl again, Dimitri had taken the tree leaf covers and pounced on him.
She pushed him directly to the ground and covered his vision as she searched for anything she could use as a weapon.
This would not be her first time battling a wild animal.
Suban whose sight had been covered tried to shake Dimitri off his back but to no avail.
Frustrated by his failed attempts, he transformed back, but Dimitri remained on his back. "What in the moon is wrong with you?" he barked out.
Dimitri’s eyes widened in shock, 'when did animals start to talk? And how did a big dog turn into a figure like hers?' She got off Suban’s back instantly in fright.
Suban pushed the tree leaf covers away harshly and stood up in a flash.
"Did you really think you can take me on?" he spat out with irritation, trying his best to cover up his embarrassment.
He was angry that a female could have such an advantage. If word were to go out, he would be mocked as a weakling.
Dimitri’s held her breath as she remained still in shock.
She hit her cheek hard but it did not seem like she was going to wake up, she covered her mouth quickly, causing Suban frown.
"Are you unable to voice out (speak)?" He had said at least two complete sentences but the female just kept looking at him like a confused wolf.
^yeah, you guessed right, he thinks she is also a werewolf^
Dimitri stared at Suban in confusion; she felt strange, everything was so strange yet looked so familiar.
Suban narrowed his eyes on her as he approached her with steady steps. He assumed she was dumbstruck due to his masculine charms, she wouldn't be the first though.
"Am I so godly looking that it makes you unable to think or move?" He smirked as he kept on walking till Dimitri was caged in between him and the wooden walls.
"What?" Dimitri finally spoke, why would she admire him? She admitted that he was indeed handsome but she wasn't so gullible.
Suban scoffed, "Are you now trying to play hard to hit? It won't be new though." He ridiculed as he drew a little closer again, almost covering the little space left between them.
Dimitri frowned at how inappropriate their position was; they were not joined together as man and wife so this wasn't right, even Festus wasn't allowed to get this close to her.
She pushed him away with a displeased look on her face. "Don't you know of the rules?" She snapped at him.
"What even are you? Where Am I?"
Subanchuckled lightly and allowed himself to be pushed away, besides he was just goofing around.
Although he found Dimitri eye catching, he wasn't one to deal with weird people from the sea.
He stared at Dimitri with a scrutinizing gaze, 'where did she even come from, and how come she speaks our tongue?'
"What do you mean what am I? I should be asking you that question, don't you think?"
Dimitri’s gaze fell on Suban, "I am Dimitri Saw and I'll have you know that you stand before an Heir," she announced powerfully with her tone commanding authority.
Suban's eyebrows knotted together, feeling like he might have rescued a crazy person "What?"
He definitely wasn't understanding her.
Did she rule the sea?
Did people really live in the sea like the history said?
Did that mean she wasn’t a wolf like he thought?
Millions of thoughts crashed through his mind as he kept his eyes on Dimitri.
"Now, what is this place?" Dimitri asked, more like ordered.
"This is the woods," Suban answered her question without fuss.
If she was truly an Heir that means people would come looking for her, it would be better to make friends.
Dimitri’s brows twitched.
Was this the place Festus said his father spoke of?
She looked around the room, and that was when she noticed it was decorated with different carvings like animals and the moon, unlike their Island filled with animal skin and furs.
"You better lay low, there is an Heir here already. If he hears of your existence, he would probably kill you... he will see you as a threat to his reign." Suban warned her carefully.
He did not want her going near Krisen and even if she did find herself near him, it would be better she makes no friend of him.
Dimitri turned her focus back to Suban as flashes of light ran through her eyes, displaying the same scene and the same words. She screamed out in pain as she held her chest and fell to the ground, losing consciousness instantly.
Jolly and Jen walked towards Krisen’s room cautiously, neither of them wanted to be shouted at nor leave him be after what happened at the moon meal. “You knock,” Jolly urged Jen as she stepped to the side; away from the door. Jen pouted in grievance as she argued, “Why do I have to be the one to knock? You are the bravest between us two. You should knock.” She pulled Jolly forward to stand in front of the door as she replaced her in her position beside the door. She raised both her thumbs into the air as she stretched out an encouraging smile on her lips, “You can do this!” Jolly rolled her eyes, she breathed out heavily before raising her hand to knock on the door, but the door was pulled open from the inside before her knuckles could reach the door. Her eyes bulged as she saw Krisen standing in front of the open space with a light frown on his face. Jen stood frozen by the side as she pressed her body further into the wall; wishing she could immerse herself into it. Jolly b
Elena stood in front of the training ground with her arms folded in front of her chest; her face strained. Hera stood beside her with a puzzled expression, “What are you on about, Elena?” she turned her head towards her. “Nothing I can’t handle.” Elena responded grimly as her gaze remained focused on the entrance of the training ground. “It’s about that dirt, right? I heard she is an angel.” Hera sated with sheer disgust. “Does this mean she won’t face any punishments? It’s her fault that we have to train endlessly these past suns. I hate her.” Just as they were still speaking, Dimitri walked into the training grounds with Suban following behind with a blank look on his face. “Speaking of thedirt, here she comes.” Hera ridiculed as she glared daggers at Dimitri. “How does she make Suban follow her like a loyal dog, she is definitely doing something to make him so blind.” Dimitri watched as Elena walked towards her, she closed her eyes and let out a tired breath, “Goddess, I hav
The fog filled forest had darkened more than normal as the looming presence remained like a whisper in the air. Dimitri was even more certain that she wasn’t imagining things, “William, is that you?” she demanded into the air but no response was given. Her eyes roamed around, “I don’t know what you think you are trying to achieve by acting like a coward. You better show yourself this instant.” Her eyes burned with repulse as she thought about a million things to do to him when he finally shows up. A dangerous chill crawled through her skin when the faint moon light casted a shadow in front of her. Someone was standing behind her. She clenched her jaw hard as she calculated her steps and actions precisely, and with one swift turn, she launched her fist; aiming towards the figure. Her brows knotted in confusion as her eyes showed disbelief, “Suban?” she called out with uncertainty as she stopped her fist in time. Dimitri’s fist remained mid-air as she scanned through the figure
Krisen and Dimitri walked through the fog filled forest in silence with both their faces maintaining a blank expression. They looked like strangers who just happened to be walking on the same path. Dimitri glanced at Krisen from the corner of her eyes several times like she wanted to say something but she didn’t actually say it. Krisen let out a breath through his mouth, “What is it?” he demanded as he turned to face her; trapping her under his gaze. Dimitri stopped walking and also turned to meet his gaze squarely, “Nothing,” she responded blankly. A frown pulled down at the side of Krisen’s lips, “Are you going to speak out or not?” he took a step towards her as his gaze displayed a warning. Dimitri narrowed her eyes on him, “What is with you and always trying to intimidate me? If you know just who I am, you wouldn’t even dream of doing this.” She reprimanded; feeling vexed about his behaviour. Why can’t he speak without openly trying to force someone? “It seems yo
Suban was a panting mess by the time he reached the Wizard’s cave. He ran into the cave like he was expecting some kind of welcome. “I did what you asked, now give it back,” he demanded as his chest rose and fell trying to stabilize his breathing. The wizard snickered in a low tone as he watched Suban from the shadows. He had simply played a joke when he saw Suban wasn’t taking him seriously. Who knew he would actually make him feel so panicked. He looked at the amulet in his hand. He had picked it up after Suban left at that time and decided to keep it as a way to connect to him. These past moons, he was able to freely enter Suban’s dreams and torment him; making him particularly restless and paranoid. “Leave, you won’t gain anything by coming here and making so much noise.” The wizard informed nonchalantly as he enjoyed the look of torment on Suban’s face. Suban tightened his hand into a fist as he gritted his teeth against each other. “Show yourself,” he bellowed as his eye
The damp realization on the faces of Luna Carmen and Alpha Ronnie were unmatched as they walked into the cave. Their eyes roamed around it as they noticed the obvious changes. Unlike the edgy surfaces they had known the cave to have, it had stones that were finely curved and positioned in different corners. Even the aura was different. “I think this is their lair,” Krisen dropped as his narrowed eyes stuck on a stone seat fixated exactly in the middle of the cave, and a few meters in front of it was the deep hole that had been created when the seal broke. It was obvious that the seat was going to be for their leader. Luna Carmen closed her eyes as she took in a series of breaths to calm herself down and actually let their present reality sink in. “This is all your doing! Tell me.... did the demon drag you here again?” Alpha Ronnie barked out fiercely as his glared at Dimitri; his face was red and his eyes were dangerously flickering. Dimitri stood still; staring at the grou
