That was the reason why I couldn't find him... because the wolves were protecting him, along with some of my fellow vampires. How could he do such a thing? How did he manage to win the wolves over to his side? What did he offer them in return?

"Servant, come with me. We will awaken my old friend FOZZ and bring a human as an offering gift to him."

"Are you sure about this? What if he becomes aggressive and attacks us? Remember, FOZZ is sleeping because of your actions."

I chuckled at my servant's fearfulness.

"Don't worry, servant. He won't dare to do that. I'm the only one who knows where his wife is. And if he betrays me again, he will never see her again."

FOZZ is my old friend who used to guard my wife. He betrayed me by abandoning her when I was in the midst of a battle with some wolves. Because of his betrayal, my wife managed to escape and find solace with another man!

I clenched my fists in anger. The memories of her betrayal resurfaced, and I longed for the d
