My mind went blank at his statement. Did I just hear him correctly? He wants me what?

"W-What?" I asked again. Maybe I was just hearing things and my ears are having an impairment.

"Take responsibility for me." He exposed his arrogant mug.

My mouth was left hanging.

"Why me?" I asked confused as tried to recollect things.

He shrugged, "Who else would be?"

"Lance?"

He made a long face. "Is he the one I'm chasing?"

"I'm not the one who crashed you with a car." I throw my bag onto the couch.

"But you are the reason why I crossed the road."

I rolled my eyes, "You're not a kid that doesn't know to glance left and right before crossing the streets."

"Will you really put the blame on me?"

What are you doing, Serena? Will you really blame him because he's an idiot who didn't know to cross the road?
