"Fucking drive up fast!!" I yelled at them. She stayed still, lifeless. I had my jacket around her, somehow giving her warmth but it wasn't working. She was still cold and pale. I kept her clutched to my body tightly, afraid that this might be a dream, that she will disappear when I open my eyes to face the reality and I was too terrified to face it. I wanted to hold her and never let her go, never make the same mistake again. I rubbed her hands, blowing my hot breath trying to make her hand warm but she remained cold.

"Angelina, open your eyes, it's me," I said softly. I kept my head on her chest and tried to listen to her heartbeat but it was slow, faint, and deep. This made my heartbeat race. No, oh god, no!!!

I pushed all the negative thoughts and tried giving warmth to her. Soon we reached the mansion. I immediately rushed inside with her in my arms. The door opened as Yara's face fell drastically. Her eyes landed on the unconscious girl in my arms.
