Louisa’s heart hammered heavily in her chest as she stared at her sister. She saw the way Lilian’s eyes dropped in disbelief to the hand Alessandro had around her waist.

Louisa tried to wiggle out of his hold, but Alessandro tightened his grip more, even pulling her closer into him this time.
