XANDER'S POV

Everyone seems to be getting on my nerves recently. It was becoming quite a lot to bear but I had been at my best at keeping it in. However, this new development with Allen was not getting passed like water under the bridge. He had just one simple task to do as my beta but it would seem that he was beginning to grit my nerves. He was actually beginning to get wanting in my eyes as all he does now seemed like a jump from one suspicious move to another.

The moment he had called me to inform me that the prisoner had escaped, I was practically vexed. I had been hoping for a distraction from Nicolette's questions but now I wish this was not the case. Hurriedly, I had taken my car as I was in no mood for a wolfie run tonight. I drove straight to our secret house which housed our dungeons. The moment I got there, I could see him standing out there looking worried. I had strong reasons to believe that he was just putting up the pathetic act to get enough pity from me.
