Sarah’s back hit the elevator wall.

Andrew’s body was close,a few inches from hers. His hands stayed on the wall beside her face.

His breath was warm and Heavy.

She felt frozen, But her heart was not. It pounded hard.

“You’re sick,” she whispered.

He didn’t move.

“You hate me. You made my life hell. You call me a liar. A manipulator. And now you want to…”

She trailed off.

His eyes were fixed on hers. It was Dark and Burning.

“I don’t know what I want,” he said.

“That’s not good enough.”

“I didn’t plan this.”

“Neither did I.”

The air was tensed. He dropped his arms and Backed away like someone who is betrayed.

His voice was low and Tight.

“You confuse me.”

She let out a shaky breath.

“Then stay away.”

“I tried.”

“Try harder.”

He turned away. He Hit the elevator button. The lights blinked. The elevator moved again.

The doors opened and They walked out in silence.

---

Inside the penthouse, Sarah moved quickly. Her heels echoed on the floor.

She reached her room, Closed the door and Locked it.

Her hands were shaking.

She leaned against the door and Closed her eyes.

What just happened?

Why did he say those words?

Why did she freeze... and not scream?

Why did her body betray her?

She hated him.

---

The knock came ten minutes later. It was first,in a soft sound, then it grew louder.

She didn’t answer.

“Sarah,” he called.

She stayed silent.

He tried the door. It didn’t open.

“I’m not here to fight,” he said.

She stayed still.

Then there was silence.

She moved to the bed and Sat down. Her hands gripped the sheets.

She wanted to cry. But the tears wouldn’t come.

She wanted to scream. But the anger felt too quiet.

She stood up and Walked to the window. She Looked outside.

The city lights blinked back at her. Behind her, the door clicked.

She turned.

Andrew stood there. She forgot he had a master key.

“You shouldn’t be here,” she said.

“I know.”

“Then leave.”

He closed the door and Locked it. He Took slow and deliberate steps forward.

Her chest rose and fell in a fast pace.

“Stop,” she said.

He did.

“I don’t want this.”

He nodded once. “Me neither.”

“Then why are you here?”

He didn’t speak. She stepped back, thinking he's back with an unknown, dangerous motives.

“You’re messing with my head.”

“Because mine is already messed up.”

She shook her head. “That’s not an excuse.”

“I know.”

“Then what is this?”

“I don’t know.”

He moved again. She didn’t stop him.

When he reached her, his hands touched her arms.

His fingers were warm.

She flinched.

“I hate you,” she whispered.

“Good.”

“I mean it.”

“So do I.”

Then his lips crashed on hers. And she didn’t push him away.

---

The kiss was like they were on fire. It was wild, angry and deep.

Their hands searched and Clawed. They caressed.

His jacket hit the floor. Her dress slid off but Their mouths didn’t part.

His touch made her skin burn.

Her mind screamed stop, But her body begged for more.

She wasn’t thinking. She was Just feeling.

She didn’t care. Not tonight. Not at this moment.

She wanted to hate him,But something else took over.

---

Afterwards, the room was quiet. The sheets were tangled.

The air is still heavy.

Sarah sat up and Pulled the blanket to her chest.

Andrew lay beside her,Staring at the ceiling.

None of them speak. Then she broke the silence.

“That was a mistake.”

He didn’t move.

“It meant nothing,” she said.

Still, he didn't say anything. She stood and Wrapped herself in the blanket and walked up to the window again.

“Say something,” she said.

“What do you want me to say?”

“That it meant nothing.”

He turned his head and Looked at her.

“I can’t say that.”

“Then lie.”

He sat up and Ran a hand through his hair.

“You think I planned this?”

She didn’t answer.

“You think I wanted to touch you?”

Her eyes narrowed. “Didn’t look like you hated it.”

“I didn’t.”

She looked away.

“I want to hate you,” he said.

She turned. “Then do it.”

He stood up and walked toward her. He stood inches away from her.

“I want to destroy you,” he said.

“Then why haven’t you?”

“Because every time I try,” he said, “you get deeper under my skin.”

She swallowed hard.

“I didn’t ask to be here,” she said.

“I know.”

“I didn’t ask for any of this.”

“I know that too.”

She stepped back.

“I don’t trust you.”

“I don’t trust myself.”

They stared at each other for a moment Then she turned and Walked to the bed. Picked up her clothes.

“Get out,” she said.

He didn’t move.

“Andrew.”

He took his time. Then he walked to the door.

Before leaving, he turned.

“This changes nothing,” he said.

“It changes everything.”

He shut the door.

---

The next morning was cold. Not with weather, but in silence.

Sarah came down to the dining room. Andrew was already there , with his Coffee and Newspaper. He's in his sharp Suit. He didn’t look at her.

She didn’t look at him.

The maid served breakfast.

They ate in silence.

When he stood to leave, he paused.

“You don’t have to come to the office today,” he said.

“Good,” she replied.

He left without another word.

---

The day moved slowly.

She couldn’t focus. Every time she blinked, she saw him. Every time she touched her lips, she remembered.

Her body still ached. Her skin is still warm.

It was a mistake.

She told herself that a hundred times,But the more she repeated it, the less true it felt.

She wasn’t supposed to feel this.

Not for him.

She paced the room and Bit her lip,Checked her phone. Ignored the urge to call her best friend.

No one could know.

No one would understand.

---

That evening, she went to the bathroom.

Her stomach felt weird. She’d felt tired all day. She frowned and Thought back.

Then she froze.

Her eyes widened. “No… it can't be!”

Her hands went cold.

She opened a drawer and scattered the whole drawer.

She Found a small unopened box. Her fingers trembled as she pulled it out.

She read the label and Closed her eyes.

Ten minutes later, she sat on the edge of the tub. Her heart was pounding wildly.

The test in her hand was saying the era.

She looked down. She stared at the Two pink lines.

She's pregnant.

But his voice struck like a whip. “Where are you coming from?” Andrew asked, low and dangerous. She turned slowly, confusion knitting her brow. “From my friend’s house.” He laughed. Cold. Mocking. Brutal. “Really? A friend’s house... or your lover’s?” Sarah blinked. “What?” “Oh, don’t play dumb with me, Sarah,” he snarled. Without warning, he flung a set of photos across the room. She barely made it to the bathroom before she collapsed to her knees, retching violently. The echo of her heaves bounced off the porcelain, her body revolting against her with unrelenting force. Andrew was at the head, fingers drumming against the polished oak, brows furrowed in frustration. His steak lay cold and untouched. Suddenly, a maid appeared. “Sir,” she said, voice barely above a whisper. “The young madam hasn’t come down.” “Why?” His voice cut through the air, sharp and brittle. “She’s refused dinner. She won’t touch anything from the kitchen.” A scoff escaped him. “So she’s on a hunger strike?” Without waiting for more, Andrew stood, chair scraping under him, his footsteps echoing like a countdown to confrontation. Sarah didn’t sleep. She sat with the laptop on her lap, staring at the message. The screen glowed in the dark. “Your parents didn’t die by accident. And you’re next if you don’t stay silent.” Her heart pounded. Her breath came in short gasps. She shut the laptop. Locked it in a drawer. Then got up and went straight to Andrew’s room. She didn’t knock. She just pushed the door open. Andrew sat on the edge of his bed, shirtless, and holding a glass of whiskey again. His tie was still around his neck, loosened, and his hair messy. He looked annoyed. “What the hell?” She walked in, holding her phone. “Read this,” she said. “I don’t read things people throw in my face,” he said. “I’m not playing.” He grabbed the phone. Her hands were still on the table, and frozen. The room was cold. Her chest felt tighter than before.
