MARCO'S POV:

So, what if she gets hurt by what I say? That was nothing—she deserves more than that for acting like some innocent little thing.

But thank God her father didn’t catch us earlier. That would’ve been a mess I didn’t need.

Though honestly, it looked like she was enjoying it. Every time I pull her into that kind of moment, she turns red, breathes faster, and doesn’t push me away fast enough.

Acting all shy and delicate... yeah, right. Just wait. If she really wants something from me—whatever it is—I’ll make sure she gets it... but my way.

Something wicked stirred in my mind again.

“Where are you going, Marco?” I heard a voice with a distinct provincial accent.

When I turned, it was her father. Come to think of it, I still don’t know his name.

“Uhm… I just wanted to get some fresh air,” I replied.

“hhmn, is that so? Alright then, I’ll head back inside. I still have to fix up the room you’ll be staying in,” he said politely.

“Alright, sir.” I nodded as he walked away.

LEXIEN’S POV:I’m not really sure what kind of conversation my Dad and Ma’am Esme had, but somehow, she convinced him to come with us back to Manila. I was honestly worried after our last talk—he seemed hesitant to go. But he told me he’d just wait for the rice harvest to finish, which should take about two more days. Ma’am Esme was beyond excited when she told me that. She’s excited, but me? I’m twenty levels of nervous.Still, I really admire my dad. Even though he knows that Sir Marco and I don’t truly love each other, he treats him with kindness and respect. He always greets him warmly, and sometimes they even eat together. As for me… I often avoid joining them at the table. The tension in the air between the two of them makes me feel like I’m sitting on a stove. They both go completely silent when they’re eating together. I keep thinking that any second now, my dad’s going to put us in the hot seat. So, most of the time, I make excuses—like saying I’m waiting for Princess or clai

  • MARRY ME AGAIN (SPG)   CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

Lexien’s POV:We’re now sitting out back, Dad and I, having a deep conversation. I missed this spot too. Aside from the cool breeze, the only sounds you could hear were frogs croaking and crickets chirping. This was also the place where Princess and I used to hang out at night, telling each other scary stories. She was still really young back then. One of my favorite things to do after our spooky talks was to hide and scare her—she’d always cry, that little softie.“If that’s what your boss planned all along, then why didn’t she just have her son marry someone else?” Dad asked seriously.I had already explained everything to him—told him the whole truth. I didn’t want to keep any more secrets. Not from him.“Hmm... It would’ve been harder for Ma’am if it were someone else. She only really trusted me with this decision,” I explained gently.“But you’re the one who’ll end up suffering, Lexien. What if her son ends up hurting you? I won’t just sit back and let that happen,” Dad said firm

  • MARRY ME AGAIN (SPG)   CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Lexien’s POV:As soon as Sir Marco parked the car, I moved quickly to unload our things. After placing the bags down, I rushed straight to my room to change clothes.“Ugh, I forgot I was only wearing a tank top as an undershirt!” I sighed in frustration.Once I had changed, I grabbed my phone from my bag to update Ma’am Esme and let her know we had arrived safely.I tried calling her, but she wasn’t answering.“Hmm… maybe she’s asleep,” I murmured, and instead decided to just send her a message. After setting my phone down on the small table beside the bed, that’s when I finally noticed my entire room.It was completely different from how it used to be.Back then, the walls were bare, rough hollow blocks. But now, they were smooth and freshly painted in apple green—my favorite color.A warm feeling spread through me at the sight.“Dad really did keep his promise to fix up my room,” I thought, smiling to myself. Maybe even the whole house—though I hadn’t noticed earlier since I rushed

MARCO’S POV:Tsskk! Scaring this little nerd really is satisfying.Hmm… her lips are sweeter than I expected, I thought as I casually wiped my own lips with my finger.I glanced at her—she looked like a statue, sitting there in silence with her hands resting on her knees. Her cheeks were noticeably red, too. What pissed me off the most? Turns out, the reason she took so long was because she was flirting with that guy—Leo. That damn guy!See? I couldn’t hold myself back—and that was me still being nice… tsss.We were back on the road, driving in silence for a few more moments.“Sir Marco, wait… Can we stop for a bit? I think that’s my dad,” she suddenly said, her eyes fixed on a small hut not too far off, nestled in the middle of a rice field.I pulled over, and she quickly got out of the car.I glanced around the area—there weren’t any houses nearby, just a few small huts scattered in the middle of the fields.“Dad!!!” she shouted. She called out cheerfully, even waving both hands in t

THIRD PERSON:"Marco, would you mind carrying this box, too?" She instructed him firmly. When he looked in the direction she indicated, he saw it was the box intended for Lexien’s father.“She can handle it!” he said, then continued walking toward the door.“Oh! Yes, ma’am, it’s okay, I can carry it myself,” she said quickly as she picked up both boxes.“It’s not even heavy,” she added.“Marco!” his mom called out again, her voice laced with warning. And Marco had no choice but to clench his jaw in frustration, even shooting Lexien a sharp glare as he turned back to look at her.“Tsskk!” He had no choice but to follow, stomping toward her in frustration.“You should’ve followed right away, Nerd!” he snapped at the young woman as he took the box from her. Then, he walked out ahead of her.“Y-Yes, Sir,” she replied nervously.“Lexien, make sure to keep me updated, alright?” She said as she unexpectedly opened her arms and pulled Lexien into a hug.“O-Okay,” she replied awkwardly, caught
