My head buzzed with warmth and euphoria, as the light from the club dazzled in my vision, along with sending a fuzzy kind of feeling inside of me.

I have never felt this free in my whole twenty-three years of being on this earth, and it felt intoxicating.

My eyes roamed around taking in the almost naked girls on the dance floor as I searched for Tracy.

She dispersed a while ago, probably in between our fifth shot or was it the seventh, I can’t really remember any more.

“gotcha,”I muttered in happiness, when my eyes finally landed on her.

She stood extremely close to a neatly dressed man in a suit, his blond hair sticking out of place, like someone had run their hand through them continuously, and I did not need to guess who, from the way Tracy continuously rubbed her body against his in her poor act of dancing.

“Tracy!” I called out to her doubting she could hear me, as I made my way towards her, my eyes never straying away in fear that I might lose her, then it would be extremely hard to find her again.

“Ouch,”I shouted in shock, when I slammed into a wall, only to pause when I felt a liquid dripping down my open shoulders confirmed it was not a wall but rather a person, a strong thick person.

“I am sorry, oh my God!

I’m so sorry, I was not paying attention, Please let me make it up to you, I can buy…” I paused when I looked up to stare at intense green eyes peering down at me, my mouth opened to say something, or maybe to continue my plea but nothing came through, so I shut it again, feeling stupid.

My eyes took in his glorious features, green eyes, looking dark and intimidating under the lights, and the way they stared at my face sent a certain kind of tingling sensation through me, down to my core—one that I have never experienced. His full red lips pulsed in a way that looked like he was smirking, but the pinching, and slight crease in his brows said otherwise.

Down to his thick, muscular body clad in a black suit to his jet black hair, sleek behind like he came to an office rather than a club, and honestly he looked like every woman’s wet dreams.

A tick sound made my eyes snap to the watch on his hands, which looked like some limited edition Rolex, and that clearly stating that he was not poor, and added to the thrill of this stranger.

“Does my watch fascinate you?” His deep baritone voice came, making my eyes snap to his beautiful ones once more, as my brain finally registered what he said.

“Huh?..”I stuttered like a fool, inwardly cursing my lack of composure, his voice sent an undescribed pleasure through me, as I clenched my thighs.

He looked perfect, the kind of man Xavier would be jealous of, and that’s exactly what I needed—who I needed to take my virginity.

I should have listened to Tracy when she said I should dress sexy, but I cannot be at fault. I hardly had any good clothes, all the money I make goes into my mother’s medical expenses, and barely enough is left for myself, so clothes were not my number one priority.

Now I regret it, because I definitely look like a beggar in where he stands. I doubt he goes for women like me, when I finally meet a man close to perfection and then I realize—I am definitely not his type. How on earth am I possibly going to get him to take my virginity.

“How are you going to make it up to me?” He asked, his lips tipping up in a smirk, as he watched me.

His eyes never strayed away, even a little bit; instead he watched me, like I was the most interesting thing in the room, and that sent nervousness cracking through me—I had never had anybody look at me like that.

“I can buy you a drink,” I said, the only rational thing I could think of.

Now his lips widened into a full blown smile like I said something funny or ridiculous.

“You want to buy me a drink?” He asked, his dark green eyes remained on me, gleaming with amusement and some indescribable emotion.

“Lead the way baby girl,” he said, his voice somehow sounded darker, and I felt pleasure pull in my core.

“Ethan,” I choked out at the sight of him.“How many times do I have to warn you, Leah, to stay away from Jennifer?” he said darkly. His eyes were hard as he sent me a disapproving glare.“This looks nothing like it seems. If you had come earlier, you would have…”“Enough, Leah. Just enough!” he roared, his entire form trembling with rage.He moved towards where I stood. His large hands wrapped around my forearm in a tight grip, and fingers digging into my skin enough to leave a bruise.“I have tolerated your disrespect for Jennifer so many times, thinking you would change,” he growled. His expression was one of disdain, his harsh breath fell on my face with every word he uttered.“A long time ago, I promised to give her an eye for an eye, to any bastard who dared to hurt her again. Now, Leah, you just had to hit her,” he spat venomously, making me flinch in his grip.“I know you don’t believe a word I say. But trust me, Jennifer is nothing like you think she is. She is pretentious, a

“Let me go Ethan. Let’s end our relationship,” I choked out.His gaze bore into me unblinking, probably waiting for me to complete my words.“Why do you want me? Why are you so persistent in keeping me? You can have any woman you want, but why me? What's so special about me?” I pressed, watching as his eyes hardened at my words.“I don’t want it anymore, Ethan. I can’t bear to lose anything else, so just let me go and we can leave our peaceful life away from each other,” I added.“Are you even listening to me Ethan? I said– let me go. Let’s end whatever fucked up relationship or contract is between us,” I cried out.“You must be more stupid than I thought if you ever think that I am going to let you go, Leah,” he replied back. His voice sounded grave, but his eyes spoke more volumes than his words ever did.“You signed a contract with me. And until I get tired of your body, you’re stuck with me as my submissive sex slave,” he uttered darkly. “Why? Why me? Why don’t you just find ano

I held my tears back, finding it pointless to cry, although they kept on pouring.“I loathe you, Ethan. I hate you more than I have ever hated anything in this world. You are right, it’s good that it’s gone. You would have made a horrible father; you are too toxic to be one. And that’s why I killed it. Because I could not bear the thought of having a child with a mentally deranged man like you.” I said, my voice dropping with every ounce of emotion I felt for him, as my breathing turned heavy. He must have felt the genuineness in the words, because his hands around my neck tightened. My vision grew hazy from the pressure, and I was left gasping for air.My hands clawed at his in a futile attempt to pry him off me. And when I thought he was really going to kill me, he let go. Pushing himself off me, he reacted like I scalded him.“Lie on all fours,” he ordered, his voice sounding dark and gruff. My eyes flared. A sense of fear crept in my mind, from knowing I was still sore all over

“Protect me? Protect me?” I laughed bitterly. He stared at me, his eyes pleading with me to understand, but it was too late for that. Everything he did was confusing, and I could never trust him again.“How are you protecting me, Xavier, huh? By not standing by my side when I actually need you? And who are you protecting me from exactly? What scares you so much?” I asked in vexation, my entire form trembling with rage.“They are things that are better left hidden for your sake, Leah,” he said with a sigh. He watched me for a while longer, studying my features. My gaze watched him sharply, wanting to drink in every twitch of his jaw and read even the slightest expression on his face. He expressed his emotions well. The now blank expression on his face made my irritation increase. “Things like what exactly?”“Things that would keep you safer if you had no idea of them. Now drop it,” he demanded finally, turning to pick up his things from the table.“Your discharge papers have been proce

‘Good,’ I thought happily. My hands moved towards my bedside, my gaze roaming around as I looked for my phone.“My phone, where is it?” I thought. My eyes widened in horror as the last time I held my phone came rushing back in my mind.Jennifer cut the call on me, and before I could keep my phone, I was dragged out of the alley.“Oh God,” I muttered. My phone must still be somewhere back in the alley.“So where is it, Leah? Huh? Where is your proof?” Jennifer asked, feigning a sympathetic smile.“I must have lost my phone in the alley when…”“Oh please, don’t you get tired of lying, Leah?” Jennifer asked, shaking her head with a sad smile almost like she pitied me.My face deepened in a scowl, as anger burned through me when I took in her expression. My eyes shifted from hers to Ethan, whose stare had not left me.“Ethan, believe me, I had proof. I really had proof on my phone, but somehow…”“Enough, Leah! Enough!” Ethan roared, cutting me short.I stared at him in shock, taking in th

My mouth parted wide in shock as I stared at the doctor, wondering whether I had traveled to an alternate universe.“What…what are you saying? That’s a lie!” I shouted in the deathly silent room.“Leah, please calm down. You just had an abortion, no need to get agitated,” Jennifer said, throwing me a compassionate glance.“I know it’s not easy for you, but the truth is already staring at your face right now. Even the doctor supports my words, Leah,” she said empathetically.“That’s a lie,” I said hurriedly, my mind racing in different directions as I struggled to comprehend what was happening and how everything could suddenly turn against me within the blink of an eye.I turned to Ethan, my eyes widening at the sight of his pale face.“They are lying, they are all lying, Ethan. I don’t know what’s happening or why Jennifer is doing this, but believe me, Ethan, I’m not lying. I did not sign for an abortion. I was attacked by a mob, and I suffered a miscarriage as a result…I swear I am
