~Autumn~

We reached my room and Ian put me down on the bed. The headache was accompanied by a sudden hotness. It seemed something was burning inside of me.

“How do you feel now? Let me get you some pain relievers, okay?” Ian said. Trying to go, I held his hand.

“Don’t worry, Ian, I am fine,” I assured.

“How can you say you are fine when you’re in pain?”

“Trust me, Ian. I am fine,” I insisted.

“If you say so,” he gave up and sat beside me, gently massaging my hand. The throb thudded more painfully and I winced. It became unbearable for me and tears leaked out of my eyes. “Come on, I’m taking you to the hospital,” Ian declared, standing up.

“I don’t want to,” I cried. “I don’t like the hospital.”
