The winds were not in our favor as we maneuvered our way through the forest trying to outsmart the guards that were still hunting us.

It brought a lot of sand and rock, including still air, all over our face. Outsmarting the guards is not going to be easy. They know this forest better than us.

“We just need to get to higher ground.” Grey said to me, like he could hear what I was thinking, “I don't think they would follow then.”

“Okay.” I bent down and placed my hands on the ground. They were very quiet but also moving.

“I should give it a try.” I heard Grey say.

“You should stop talking so I will hear them better.” I replied.

He didn't say another one but his breathing began heavy which was distracting me.

“Grey–.”

“It's just that you have been at it for quite a while, that's why I'm asking to take a turn.” He said.

“How long?” I asked

“Over half an hour.” He said.
