I walked softly through the hallways of the mansion, where the leaders of the pack lived while holding a ridiculoualy small cake in my hands.

He let out a loud sigh, pulled out of my sister and walked towards me. His brown eyes that used to give me comfort mocked me, and from the corner of my eye I could see Fiona smirk at me. She loved my pain.

"No one wants a weak omega as a mate, Valerie. Fiona is strong, beautiful and everything I could ever wish for."

He turned to Fiona, smiling tenderly at her. The adoration in their eyes felt like a punch to my gut.

"You-you are mates?"

"I couldn't have asked for a better mate."

"But, but you promised to-"

"To what, Valerie? You know what, just save yourself the embarrassment of sounding like a fool and get out." Fiona sneered from the bed as Josh ignored me completely, walking back to finish what he started.

I can't do it, I have to get out of here.

I ran down the hall, cake in my hand and sobs raking my body. He promised to love me! He always took my side when Fiona insulted me. Were all those lies?

I ran to the end of the stairs, not wanting to stay in this party one more minute, but I was stopped by Grey, One of the triplet Alphas and the most cruel of them all, stopped me in my steps.

The music had stopped, and everyone was watching with wicked smiles.

"Woah woah, Valerie. What's the rush? The party just started."

I tried to pull away, not ready for his bullying, "Let me go, Grey!"

"Okay, okay." He rose his hand in surrender, leaving me to run down the stairs.

"Must hurt when the love of your life doesn't give a fuck about you." He mocked, and everyone laughed, adding to the mockery.

To make matters worse, a foot appeared in front of me, and I tripped, landing face first into the cake in my hand.

"So pathetic." Ansel, another of the Alphas mused, helping me up on my feet. "Wheres your Knight? Oh wait."

I pushed his hand away as everyone roared with laughter at his comments.

I ran away from the house, not before i heard the third Alpha, Kaden say, “That's enough guys, she's already pathetic as it is,” causing the laughters to double in magnitude.

I ran straight to the house I wasn't wanted as anything but a slave.

I trusted Josh with my heart, but he ended up proving everyone right.

I'm unlovable and no one would ever see me as a person. Stupid of me to think Josh was any better.
