I gave Avery a look as I slowly made my way into the room. "I never said so, Avery. Please, don’t put words in my mouth," I said as I made my way to the bed.

Lucinda followed after me as she tried to help me with the heels. I wanted to tell her not to do it, but I was too lazy and tired right now. With a sigh, I plopped down on the bed, and allowed her to work.

"Well, the way you spoke to me..." Avery tried to say.

I closed my eyes briefly, removing the bangles I wore. "I’m very tired Avery. I have been selecting the pack maids almost all through the day, and I need a break from it. You have no idea how stressful all these things can be."

I sighed, as I opened my eyes. Avery was still looking at me as she itched her hair. "Ok, maybe, I went a bit overboard, but that is my calm voice. You know how I am, and you’re my bestie. Who else would I tease if not for you?" I asked softly.

She smiled then. "You’re right. I also blew things out of proportion. I’m sorry about that," she sa
