KARLA'S POV

I woke up the next morning with nerves in my stomach. Today was the day I would be meeting his pack members. Well, I suppose I was now part of the pack, seeing as I was his mate and he was their alpha.

I guess I didn't have to think about the logistics of it now. The most important thing right now was making a good impression on his pack members. These were the people I would likely be spending the rest of my life with.

"There's no reason to be nervous." He murmured sleepily from beside me.

"How do you know I'm nervous?"

"I can practically see the gears turning in your head. Don't overthink it, baby. They're going to love you, and if they don't, they can fuck off to where they're coming from."

I slapped his chest, and he laughed. "Ace, that's so mean."

"I just don't think it's fair that you're not enjoying our first morning together."

"Who told you I'm not enjoying it?"

"You're laying in my arms thinking about other people. My wolf doesn't appreciate that at al

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER FOURTEEN

THIRD PERSON'S POV There were different reactions to Anita and the careless way she just spoke to Karla. Ace knew the reason she had said that, but that didn't stop him from being furious with her. How dare she speak to Karla, of all people, like that? He was going to have a word with her later. He wasn't joking earlier when he said anyone that didn't like her could fuck off back to whatever hole they crawled out from. Gerald, who was fond of Anita in a way a brother was proud of his sister, found it very difficult to reconcile the Anita he knew and this foul-mouthed one who was very determined to get on the Alpha's bad side. It didn't help that she was one of the best soldiers. If someone had reported this incident to him, he wouldn't have believed it. Seeing it with his own eyes was just too baffling. He had no other reaction than to drop his jaw. It was only Rayden who looked on with a faint smirk. He had never been a fan of Anita. He used to think he was the problem because ev

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER TWELVE

KAYLA'S POV I didn't know what I was expecting from my potential mate, but I thought staying untouched was the bare minimum. Even at the age when all the girls who were my peers started having their first kiss, it never moved me for two reasons. The first was that I was definitely convinced that my father would find out about it and kill me if he found out that I kissed a boy who was not my mate. The second reason was that my mother had told me that one would die from betraying a mate bond. Of course, she meant it as when one found their proper mate, not when I was that young. I held myself to that standard and believed everyone else should follow that rule. Now, I know it was naive of me to hold everyone else to the same standard as myself. It made no sense. It was for this reason that I felt like I had been betrayed. In my young mind, I even held Ace to an even more higher standard. He was my hero. So to find out now that he was not as perfect as I thought, it was disheartening

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER ELEVEN

ACE'S POV "Yes, Ace. I just told you everything that happened up until this point. You owe me the same courtesy, no?" She was right. Karla was open like that. She didn't hide anything that was important, and she demanded the same of the people around her. I cleared my throat to hide the unease I was feeling. My journey so far since my less than graceful exit from the BlueMoon pack. It was something I would rather never talk about again, but I understood why this was important to her. "What exactly do you want to know?" Maybe that would make it easier. If I knew what she wanted to know specifically. "First, how did you become Alpha?" "Through blood, sweat, and tears. It wasn’t an easy feat at all." "There's no way it would have been, but you've always been destined for greatness." "Yeah, well, I wish that made it any easier. It would have been way easier if I was someone that was content with pushing things to other people. I always have to be first or nothing." "It's the

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER TEN

ACE'S POV Heartbroken was not a word we werewolves used lightly. It was a sacred thing that happened once in a blue moon. In fact, it was the fear of heartbreak that made many mated couples of old stay together. The fear of heartbreak was that deep. I could count on one hand how many couples that had broken up after mating or even after finding each other. There was only one reason: total incompatibility. Once, both died from the loss and the distance before the elders could intervene. It was a story I knew well, and most importantly, it was a story Karla knew as well. Which was why I was very surprised to find that she was telling me this. "Heartbroken? Aiden? What are you talking about?" "As you know, I recently turned 18." "Yes." "And that is the age most werewolves get their wolves and their mates." "Karla," I growled. "You know damn well that I know this. Get to the point, will you?" "I found my wolf. It's an omega." Now that, I found surprising. Karla had been strong

  • MATED TO THE ALPHA TWINS    CHAPTER NINE

KARLA'S POV Ace was really here. Not a dream. Not an illusion. He was really here. I snuck glances at him from the corner of my eyes. I watched as he listened to the doctor on all the things I had to do and not. He was so focused on it that one would think he was listening to an impending war strategy. "How long in between for her medications?" "Two hours." The doctor replied. "They're strong enough to knock her out so she can choose not to take them." "She will definitely take them." He said seriously, and I rolled my eyes. Even the doctor thought I didn't have to take it. They talked for about two more minutes, with Ace asking questions that I didn't even think to ask, and I was the patient. It was safe to say that he knew me even better than I knew myself. Finally, the doctor declared that I could go home. My heart sank at the word. I had no home to go to. I had run from home, and in doing so, I left everything and everyone I knew behind. He squeezed my hand as if to tell m
