Chapter 17

Monica's pov

While in exile

I looked at her, and she looked back at me, and at that moment she smiled, and I could not thank her enough for making me see a little hope in the cell.

I got closer to her and stayed beside her.

"Thank you so much for your assistance; I really appreciate it. It was very helpful to me," I said to her as I showed her how much I really needed that help.

As she moved a little bit and smiled back again. "Yeah, no problems, dear. Nothing would happen; you look fragile, and I could not think twice about helping you," she says. "You don't need to be treated as well as many of us in the cell.

I nodded in agreement and shook her hand. I was very grateful to her for her help, and I could not explain it better.

They looked quietly at the other inmates and still saw that they were asleep. Many of those that were in the prison were actually sleeping at that time, and nothing happens at this time in the morning.

We would just have to wait for the guard to hit the bells f
