CHAPTER 123

DAX'S POV

Pulling off my jacket and flinging it against a chair as I made my way into my living room, I gained Simon's attention while he made dinner at the kitchen and I hissed out angrily while taking a seat and palming my face.

“What? Did you have a fight with Ruby? Or did you have a fight with someone over her? Because you look like you could murder anyone right now” he asked and I chuckled dryly.

I was so pissed that I could punch through a wall if I let my anger get the best of me. My humor was broken and so was my emotion since I was raging beyond control so chuckling seemed like the only reaction to give even if it was just on the surface. I could feel literally nothing but fury underneath.

I wished that fighting with someone over Ruby was the case because it wouldn't be as big of a deal as this was to me… in this situation.
