CHAPTER FOUR - Is He The One?

Kylie walked into the bar and went straight to the bartender.

"Hi, what do you want me to give you" The bartender said with a big smile.

"Hi.. I'm looking for someone. I don't know if you can help me find him." Kylie asked politely.

"Of course, just say the name" The man smiled again in admiration.

"Scott Anderson. He comes here often" Kylie said and smiled.

"Scott? You're the first..... Scott's sitting right there beside his friend." He said and pointed to two good looking men chatting before walking away.

"Is he the one? Or is he the one?" She said as she looked at both men.

She walked briskly towards them and cleared her throat to call their attention. Both men turned towards her, one amused, one looking indifferent.

"We aren't interested." The man looking more built and serious spoke up first.

"Do I look like a call girl to you?" Kylie scoffed. " Which one of you is Scott Anderson?"

The other fun looking guy pointed to the one that spoke first. " He is"

"Hm... I see you're the rapist." She said as she pointed at his face.

"Excuse you? What did you just call me?" Scott said as he glanced at her with disgust.

"Ohh..now you don't know me? You don't?" Kylie said,her hands on her waist.

"No, I don't." He said as he moved his gaze from her to his clueless friend sitting beside him.

"Didn't you go to Golden Stay Hotel three days ago?"

"Yes,I did....Wait, why am I telling you this,how did you know that? Who are you, really?" He asked as he got up from the chair.

"Well.. I'm the one you met in the room,you pervert. How could you just come into my hotel room" Kylie said silently and angrily.

" You must be a stalker. What evidence do you have that I came into your room?" Scott said, defensively.

"I do have evidence, what's the number of the hotel room you went to?"

"1102, right Jackson?" He asked his friend who was already nervous.

Jackson stood up and moved away from them. "Actually..Percy texted me back saying it was room 102..he made a mistake with the room number. Believe me, I tried calling you but you didn't pick up. So you might have met her truly"

"You hear that,you prick. Even if you did meet a girl..how could you not know?" She yelled.

"I still won't buy it. How can I be sure that you were in room 1102? Or that you're just trying to get money from me" Scott said and sat back down.

"Money? I don't need the money of a rapist. I have evidence that you came into my hotel room. I will report you to the police. " She said and kicked his leg.

Scott groaned in pain.

"Wait... she's going to the police? Really?" Jackson said, now moving closer to help Scott.

"Jackson, you'll eventually lead me to my grave. But I'll make sure I drag you in with me,you jerk!" Scott scolded as he got his car key and rushed out.

"It's not my fault. Hey! Wait up!" Jackson yelled and followed him out.

Kylie walked into the police station and met the policeman at the reception. "Hello, where do I go to report a case of rape?"

" Welcome. You'd have to fill a form first but we've been getting fake reports lately so I want to be sure you have your evidence with you."

"What? I'm saying the truth. I even have evidence of the person coming into my hotel room"

The policeman frowned. " Why would the hoteliers allow another person into your room unless approved by you?"

"I.. I don't know how that happened, I..... "

"Just be sure to have evidence of you being the one in that room also. The hotel representative should be here too, if it happened there." The officer said again denying her of any chances to speak.

Suddenly, Kylie felt someone's hand on hers. She looked back, shocked, just to find Scott, staring at her, panting like he had ran down to the police station.

Kylie glared at him and got rid of his hand " What the hell are you doing?" She yelled, attracting attention.

"Babe, you don't have to bring our issues to the station. I promise to be a better boyfriend to you babe... Let's go home, let's talk about this first." Scott said again pleadingly, now holding Kylie's hand tightly.

"So..this was fake anyways. Lady! Why would you bring your relationship issues to the station. I should have locked you up for tricking me" The officer said and faced other thing, leaving the "lovebirds" to solve their issues.

Scott dragged her out with all his might,into his car while she protested shouting that she doesn't know him. He closed the door and went to the other side. She quickly got out of the car and ran into the station again.

"What the hell is wrong with this lady!" Scott yelled as he ran after her, lifted her and put her in the car,locked the door and got in the car.

"You're such an actor, aren't you? Babe? Like you know me" Kylie said, her chest rising and falling from her heavy breathing.

"I had to do that. Trust me,I hated it. Let's talk about this. I'm not even sure if your accusations are sincere" Scott said and glanced at her, then at the road.

"Not sincere? Yeah.. that's why I went to the police. Who would go to the police without evidence? You must be stupid" Kylie insulted her hands beneath her breasts.

"Wait.. did I really...hmm..do that thing?" Scott stuttered.

"Rape? Yes, you did. You don't remember?" Kylie said.

"I... I didn't "rape" you. I'm not like that. I don't even remember you shouting for help. "

"Ohh..so what did you remember? Me moaning? " Kylie uttered.

"What? No! What do you mean by that? Absolutely not, I don't remember meeting a lady" Scott stuttered amazed at the way she talks.

"Didn't you wake up beside me? Are you blind too?"

"I didn't look at the person face. I know I was with someone, I just couldn't bring myself to look at the face or wait. I was too drunk to remember anything."

"Wait..you don't remember meeting a lady? Who did you go to meet in the hotel then?" Kylie furrowed her eyebrows.

"What? None of your business. We're not close to the point where you ask me questions" Scott said ,not looking at her.

"Oh really? I think we are. Your mum even knows me. She's so nice and sweet. She told me to call her mum too" Kylie said and blinked multiple times.

"What!" Scott yelled as he pulled over.

"You did what?"

"Ohh..not I , your mother asked me to call her mum. She was so amazed and excited that you had a girlfriend. I guess you've never had one" Kylie mocked and laughed.

"Yes..and you've had like a hundred and one boyfriends. You told my mum that you're my girlfriend? God! Why are you and Jackson bent on ruining my life" Scott said, running his hand through his hair.

"Wait..we came here together. That coward! He put me in trouble and disappeared"

"Speak of the devil!" Kylie said excitedly showing Scott her phone.

"MOTHER" was on the phone.

"Hi, mum!" Kylie said and glanced at Scott,who was hitting his head on the steering wheel.

"I'm setting up a dinner for us on Saturday I'll get Scott out of work and make him join us whether he likes it or not. It's yes or yes. So be there?" Victoria said from the phone sounding super excited.

Kylie glanced at Scott who was listening to the conversation, he sighed and nodded.

"Huh..yes. I'll be available anytime you need me. Send me the address" Kylie said somewhat happy that she's going to meet Victoria again.

"It'll be in my house. Scott will pick you up on Saturday. I'll make homemade food. You'll love it. Bye dear, I've got to prepare for Saturday" She said and ended the call.

"Guess my mum likes you. She's never been this excited. I've never heard her talking this way to anyone other than me and Jackson. You should come on Saturday" Scott said feeling defeated.

"I will even if you don't go. I really like mother" Kylie said and eyed Scott.

"Mother? You're not even my girlfriend. We just have to pretend for Saturday only, after that we break up and go our ways like we've never met." Scott said seriously.

"Sure, I don't like seeing your face either. You should take responsibility for what happened between us too" She whispered grumpily.

" We both should take responsibility. I'm sure whatever happened wasn't only my fault. I'll try to remember and make it up to you. I have to go now. You should get a taxi" Scott said and unlocked the door.

"I was going to get off here,by the way, don't talk to me like I'm your girlfriend" She said and got off the car,walked away without saying goodbye.

"That girl is a walking trouble and a pest. I should get rid of her as soon as possible" Scott said before driving off.

"Such a good looking jerk" Kylie hissed and hailed a taxi.
