Chapter 13: Accepting His Offer

Kathleen gasped at the sight of the diamond ring. The ring was just that tiny probably suitable to be made as an engagement ring. It was a weird offer. Why would he even want to offer her a ring as a reward if she helps him with such a small matter? Yet, being a woman, she couldn't help but feel tempted by it.

'Gosh... five thousand dollars ring? That was like a month's salary for me,' she mumbled internally with her eyes couldn't stop staring at the sparkling diamond ring.
