MYRA

I immediately called Aunt Margaret after arriving home from the market yesterday.

The moment she heard my answer, she sounded relieved.

"Good. I already informed the Head Maid that someone is interested in the position."

That alone made my heart race.

Everything was happening so fast.

She told me to be ready early in the morning because someone from Hilton Mansion would pick me up.

Needless to say, I barely had time to process everything.

That's why I forced myself to sleep early.

Today could change my life.

Or completely embarrass me.

Hopefully the first one.

"Dear, are you sure you want to work under Mr. Hilton?"

Mom's worried voice interrupted my thoughts.

I looked up from my breakfast.

She had been staring at me for the last ten minutes.

Probably hoping I would suddenly change my mind.

"What if he hurts you?" she asked quietly.

I knew why she was worried.

Aunt Margaret had told her everything.

The countless maids who resigned.

The terrible temper.

The impossible personality.

The stories weren't exactly comforting.

I reached across the table and squeezed her hand.

"Mom, don't worry."

She didn't look convinced.

"This is for my future."

I smiled.

"For our future."

Her eyes immediately softened.

"And besides," I continued, raising my fist dramatically, "Dad always said I should fight back if someone bullies me."

Mom stared at my fist.

Then at me.

Then she laughed.

A real laugh.

"You silly girl."

I grinned.

"See? Problem solved."

"You're exactly like your father."

The smile slowly faded from her face.

A familiar sadness settled in her eyes.

Dad.

Even after three years, it still hurt.

I immediately stood up and wrapped my arms around her.

"Seriously, Mom."

My voice softened.

"I'll do my best."

She hugged me back.

"I know you will."

"Trust me."

"I do."

For a moment, neither of us moved.

Then a loud car horn echoed from outside.

Both of us froze.

My heart immediately started pounding.

That had to be them.

I quickly pulled away and glanced toward the window.

"That was fast."

Mom walked toward the door with me.

The nervousness inside my stomach returned.

This was it.

No turning back now.

I grabbed my bag and kissed Mom on the cheek.

"I'll call you later."

"You better."

I laughed.

Then stepped outside.

The moment I reached the front yard, my feet stopped moving.

A black limousine was parked in front of our house.

A limousine.

In our neighborhood.

Several neighbors were already peeking through their windows.

One elderly woman nearly dropped her watering can.

Meanwhile, I stood there looking like I had forgotten how to breathe.

No way.

This couldn't be for me.

The rear door automatically opened.

My jaw almost hit the ground.

I suddenly became very aware of my old shoes.

And my old bag.

And my entire existence.

Slowly, I climbed inside.

The interior looked more expensive than my entire apartment.

The seats were soft.

The air smelled clean.

Everything felt unreal.

The driver glanced at me through the rearview mirror.

A warm smile appeared on his face.

"Good morning."

I immediately sat straighter.

"Good morning, sir."

He chuckled.

"Margaret told me about you."

I smiled politely.

"She did?"

"Quite a lot, actually."

That was slightly concerning.

"My name is Hector."

His smile widened.

"But you can call me Uncle Hector."

Something about him immediately felt comforting.

Like talking to a favorite relative.

"Then you can call me Myra."

"Deal."

The limousine slowly pulled away from the curb.

As we left the neighborhood behind, I watched the familiar streets disappear through the window.

My chest tightened.

This wasn't just a new job.

This was a completely different world.

"So," Uncle Hector said, breaking the silence, "you're really willing to take care of Young Master Terrence?"

The way he said it made me curious.

"Is he really that difficult?"

A sigh escaped him.

"Sometimes."

That wasn't reassuring.

"Only sometimes?"

He laughed.

"Fine. Most of the time."

I groaned.

Great.

Just great.

For a few moments, silence filled the car.

Then Uncle Hector spoke again.

His voice sounded quieter this time.

"I hope you won't lose patience with him."

I looked up.

The smile had disappeared from his face.

"He might seem rude."

His hands tightened slightly around the steering wheel.

"He might push people away."

There was something almost painful in his voice.

"But he's a good person."

I remained silent.

"He just..."

Uncle Hector paused.

"...got very lonely."

The words lingered inside the car.

Lonely.

For some reason, that wasn't the description I expected.

Not from a billionaire heir.

Not from someone who lived in a mansion.

Not from someone who had everything.

I found myself staring out the window.

Thinking.

Wondering.

Trying to imagine the person waiting at the end of this journey.

The famous football captain of Hilton Academy.

The golden boy everyone admired.

The billionaire heir.

The young master who made countless maids quit.

The man who hadn't returned to school for almost two years.

Who exactly was Terrence Alexander Hilton?

And why did the thought of meeting him suddenly make me nervous?

As the city skyline appeared in the distance, one thing became clear.

My life was about to change.

And somehow...

I had a feeling his would too.

  • MY BILLIONAIRE YOUNG MASTER   CHAPTER 8: ONE LAST DAY AT HOME

MYRA"This is too much, Myra."Mom looked at our shopping carts with obvious concern. To be fair, I understood why. We had somehow filled two carts with groceries, frozen goods, fruits, vegetables, rice, toiletries, and enough snacks to make my siblings think they had won the lottery.I laughed and tossed another pack of noodles into the cart."It's not too much.""It is.""It isn't.""It is."I grabbed the cart before she could start removing things."Mom."She sighed.I knew that sigh. The same sigh she used whenever she was worried about money. The same sigh she used whenever she thought she was spending too much. The same sigh she had carried for years."Don't worry," I said softly. "Besides, by Monday, I'll already be staying at Hilton Mansion."That immediately silenced her.The smile on her face faded slightly."I know."For a moment, neither of us spoke. The reality of it suddenly settled between us.For six days a week, I wouldn't be home.I would be attending school and livin

  • MY BILLIONAIRE YOUNG MASTER   CHAPTER 7: A REASON TO CELEBRATE

MYRAI couldn't stop smiling during the drive home.Everything felt lighter. For the first time in days, I wasn't thinking about unpaid tuition, scholarship slots, or finding another part-time job. The heavy weight that had been sitting on my chest ever since Mrs. Reyes gave me the news was finally gone."Uncle Hector, you can just drop me off near the chicken store," I said as we approached my neighborhood. "I'll walk home from there."The old driver glanced at me through the rearview mirror and immediately shook his head."No."I blinked."No?""No."I laughed."Why?""Because if I leave you there, you'll end up carrying ten bags by yourself.""I can carry ten bags.""I know you can.""Then what's the problem?"He chuckled."I'll wait."I gave up arguing.A few minutes later, I stepped into the small chicken shop near our neighborhood. The delicious smell immediately made my stomach growl.Today was special. For once, we weren't going to divide one meal into six portions and pretend

  • MY BILLIONAIRE YOUNG MASTER   CHAPTER 6: A POCKET FULL OF HOPE

MYRAThe moment we left Young Master's room, Madame Beatrice stopped walking and turned toward me.I immediately knew what was coming."You are unbelievable."I blinked."Ma'am?""You talked back to the Young Master."The disappointment in her voice should have made me feel guilty.Instead, I noticed something strange. She looked more surprised than angry."I apologize.""You called him a rude billionaire."I cleared my throat."Technically, I only defended myself."Madame Beatrice stared at me.I stared back. For a moment, neither of us spoke. Then she sighed heavily and pinched the bridge of her nose."I have worked in this mansion for over thirty years."That sounded like a warning."In those thirty years, I have seen dozens of personal maids."Definitely a warning."Not one of them talked back to Young Master Terrence."I scratched my cheek."Well...""Not one.""I understand.""Not even once.""Yes, ma'am."She shook her head."You are impossible."I wasn't sure if that was an in

  • MY BILLIONAIRE YOUNG MASTER   CHAPTER 5: FIRST IMPRESSION

MYRAI followed Madame Beatrice out of the office and toward the grand staircase. With every step we took, my heart seemed to beat faster. This was it.The moment I would finally meet Terrence Alexander Hilton. The man who had somehow become the answer to all my problems.Or possibly the beginning of new ones.Don't think negatively, Myra. You already signed the papers. There was no turning back now.The mansion's second floor was just as extravagant as the first. Expensive paintings decorated the walls, while large windows filled the hallway with natural light. Everything looked elegant.Everything except my nerves.Madame Beatrice remained silent as she led the way. Her heels clicked against the polished floor, creating a steady rhythm that somehow made me even more anxious. Finally, she stopped.I followed her gaze.A large double door stood at the end of the hallway.Even from a distance, it looked expensive. The wood was dark and polished to perfection, while gold details framed

  • MY BILLIONAIRE YOUNG MASTER   CHAPTER 4: A SIGNATURE AWAY

MYRAUncle Hector turned out to be surprisingly easy to talk to. What started as a simple greeting became a conversation that lasted almost the entire ride. Between his stories about working for the Hilton family and my nervous attempts to make a good impression, I barely noticed how much time had passed."We're here, dear."His voice pulled me back to reality.I looked out the window and immediately forgot how to breathe.Hilton Mansion.I had seen pictures of it before. Magazines in the academy library occasionally featured the Hilton family, and their mansion was always included in those glossy articles about wealth and influence. But pictures had done it no justice. The massive gates alone were taller than my apartment building. Beyond them stood a mansion so enormous it looked more like a royal palace than a private residence. Perfectly maintained gardens surrounded the property, while elegant fountains sparkled beneath the morning sunlight.Hilton Academy was only fifteen minute

Myra"Dear, what's wrong? You seem quiet."Mom's voice pulled me from my thoughts.I looked up from my plate and immediately regretted it.How was I supposed to tell her?How was I supposed to tell her that the scholarship she had sacrificed so much for was gone?My eyes wandered across her tired

  • MY BILLIONAIRE YOUNG MASTER   CHAPTER 1: Where Hope... Almost Ended

MyraThe waiting area outside the scholarship office was crowded as usual.Rows of students sat on metal chairs while others stood along the hallway, nervously checking their phones or reviewing documents they had already submitted weeks ago.I sat quietly in the corner, holding my folder against m
