6. The plan

Saphira's POV

I opened my eyes to behold his face. His back was on the floor while I laid on him. Our faces were metres apart and i could feel his breath on mine.

My heart raced as my eyes fell on his lip.

I swallowed hard, my throat suddenly dried.

I must be going crazy. What's wrong with me?

"Sorry" I let out a nervous laugh, getting off his body briskly.

"Are you hurt?" Jeffrey asked.

"I'm fine" I giggled.

He held my hand and we walked down the street until we got to a little garden. Although it was a bit dark, the fire flies which flew happily around the garden helped to lighten up the place.

I could still see the flowers radiating and dancing merrily.

I stood in awe, admiring the place.

"It's beautiful" I giggled.

"Yeah I know" 

He sat down on the field.

"Nature is indeed beautiful" Jeffrey said.

" Indeed" I replied and sat down, close to him.

He let out a deep breath and looked up to the sky.

"Don't you think the moon looks a bit different today?" He said with a pleased beam.

I looked up and I behold the moon smiling at me. Even the stars looked a bit brighter today.

"Yeah I think so too. This is the first time I'm looking at the moon outside my room. It really feels good" I chuckled.

"Really?" He asked in disbelief.

"Yeah! Mum had never let me leave the house alone. I'm only allowed to go to school, every other place is a - No . My life has really been boring you know" I let out a deep breath.

" But what could be the reason? Why would your mom restrict your movement? Could there be something behind it." He asked, curiously.

" I really don't know but I think it's because I possess.."

I stopped briefly as I remembered mum's warning.

What am I doing?  I had promised mum never to tell anyone about my powers.

"Why did you stop?" He bartered his eyebrows.

"Huh? Uhm.. mum had refused to tell me why she restricts my movement" I stuttered.

" Okay. Enough with the question, let's just enjoy the moon tonight" I added with a smile.

" Sure.. have I ever told you that you're beautiful" 

" I'm flattered" I blushed, cheeks hot.

He huffed a laugh.

" Let's watch the moon together" He said as he slung his arm around my shoulder.

I could perceive the charming fragrance of his cologne. It really feels good!

 I rested my head on his arm as we both stared into the sky.

                    Corovi's POV

"I can't believe this" I half yelled and banged the table as I stood to my feet.

"What's wrong my Lord?" Zach the seer, asked.

" Who am I?" 

"Huh?" He exclaimed.

" I said who am I?" I roared.

"You're Lord Corovi, the strongest demon in mycon" He stuttered with a slight bow.

"I thought as much! How dare she play games with me"

"Her? Who?" 

" Dinner is served my Lord. " A female voice interrupted.

I turned back and grabbed whoever it was by the neck.

It was one of the cooks.

"Can't you see I'm talking?" I hoarsed and tighten my grip on her neck as I watch her choke.

This is what I do whenever I am angry. I look for any human and inflicts pains on him or her. That's the only way I can find peace.

Most times, I don't stop until they die.

" Please get a hold on yourself my Lord. She's gonna die at this rate" Zach pleaded.

I have got to get a hold of myself.

I pushed her back as she fell to the ground,  coughing.

"Get out" I roared. And she mustered the little strength she could and scurried out.

I let out a deep breath and sat down again.

"This is all saphira's fault" I muttered.

"Saphira? " 

" Yes.. the girl who's supposed to stop me" I said with sarcasm dripping from every word.

" Are you seeing her?" Zach asked with raised eyebrows.

"Yes..I am just coming from her house"

"What? But that's dangerous. Her mother might recognize your true identity if she sets her eyes on you and moreover you shouldn't be having any bond with that Saphira of a girl"

"Bond?" He repeated. " Who said I'm having any bond with her? She's my enemy and I have nothing but hatred towards her. I know what I'm doing, I'll never let her mum see me, atleast not now" 

Zach let out a deep breath of relief.

" What's your plan my Lord?" 

"Plan? I have a lot of them" I smirked. "But for now, I'll start with making Saphira fall in love with me" 

"What? But you're supposed to kill her?"

" Yeah I know! But what's the fun there if I just kill her just like that?" I rolled my eyes.

He nods his head in a way that shows that he understands my plan.

" I'm gonna make her fall in love with me. She'll be so madly in love with me that she would have to go against her family to support me. Once her family turns their back on her, she'll have no one to run to but me" I smirked.

" And then you would turn the almighty chosen one to your toy" Zach added with an evil smirk.

" Exactly! I'll turn her to my slave and torture her to death. What do you think of my plan?" 

" Perfect! It's perfect my Lord" Zach exclaimed and we both burst out laughing.
