Kelly stormed out of the house and flagged down a passing taxi. He climbed in quickly, giving the driver the address he needed to reach.

The driver started the engine and sped off down the road. After a while, they arrived at a familiar street—one where Kelly had run into Lucy before. The driver pulled over and pressed the brake.

"Here we are," he said.

Kelly hurried out, paid the fare quickly, and stepped onto the sidewalk. His eyes were bloodshot, and his face was etched with anger. Without hesitation, he crossed over to the house.

The sun was still high in the sky. Mr. and Mrs. West lay sunbathing, enjoying the summer heat as they relaxed and discussed their upcoming vacation.

As soon as Kelly saw them, he approached. Mr. West sat up and removed his sunshade. When he noticed Kelly, his face tightened with displeasure.
