Chapter 26: We Are Expecting A Baby

Franklin suddenly understood what she meant. He looked at her apologetically and said, “I’m sorry.”

Karen pulled him into a hug. “I know how frustrating it can be,” she murmured.

The moment Christy stepped into Winchester’s room, he drew her into his arms and lowered his head. His mouth found hers in a fierce, deep kiss, his tongue brushing against hers as he pulled her closer by the waist.

When he finally broke the kiss, he traced her swollen lips with his thumb and said softly, “I missed you so much.”

Christy stared up at him, dazed. She licked her lower lip, a smile tugging at her mouth. “I missed you even more.”

Winchester chuckled. “Come here,” he said, guiding her to the bed. He shut the door, took her hand, and helped her sit. Leaning in, he pecked her cheek. “Do you think we should tell Franklin you’re pregnant?”

Christy considered it. After a moment, she said, “I don’t know if you should. Karen is a great girl—he’ll be fine with her by his side.”
