The guard slowly starts taking steps toward me, carrying a fierce look in his eyes. He stops, closing the distance between us. “You forgot to take back your ID.” He speaks, extending his hand to me. “Oh! Ehm…Thanks!” My fingers grab the ID from his hand. His feet go back to his post, and a breath slips free of my lips. Turning around, my steps go down the long road leading to the main building. Many students are wandering outside. Some are in groups and some are alone, reading books or listening to music. The Wolves Academy has a simple uniform. White shirt and violet skirt with white stripes, whereas for boys, it's violet long pants with the same white stripes. I have never worn such a dress before. We hunters only own black clothes. Upon stepping into the main hall, my gaze notices a group of seven girls standing in a vertical line. Their hands are crossed behind their waist while they are staring at the white marble floor. “You're a new admission.” A hand wraps around my shoulders. My gaze shifts to the person, and it's a girl. Red long hair and hazel eyes. “I am Kelly, a member of the disciplinary committee.” She smiles, finishing her introduction. “Come with me.” Her force on my shoulders pushes me to the seven girls standing in a vertical line. “Stand with them.” She commands. I quietly listen, not wanting to attract attention on my first day. Soon, two more girls join Kelly. “Welcome, new students!” She crosses her arms over her chest. “As a member of the disciplinary committee, we maintain rules and regulations among our students. The Wolves Academy is very strict when it comes to discipline.” Her voice sounds malice. The other girls standing in line are all new students. For some reason, they appear to be scared of her. “Let me recite the rules for you.” Kelly’s hands drop to her sides and she steps forward. “Rule number 1. You aren't allowed to step foot outside your dorm after eleven... except when we are holding an event.” “Rule number 2. Always obey the disciplinary committee.” “Rule number 3. You can't wear jewelry or carry anything special during academy hours.” My chest tightens. The jade bracelet around my wrist is the only way to block my scent. “Rule number 4. On breaking a rule, the disciplinary committee will decide on your punishment. If you refuse, you're expelled.” “Rule number 5. This one is made by me. Rizz Sylvester is the head of our disciplinary committee and my boyfriend. If I ever catch you drooling over him, I'll make your life hell, trust me.” She says with a smiling face. My eyes can tell she is abusing her powers as a member of the committee. “Now, let's check your belongings.” She approaches the first girl in the line. "I-Is it necessary?” The girl inquires in her timid voice. “You can't question me, sweetie!” Her eyes darken, threatening the girl. “We’re seizing all your extra items. Take them back after academic hours from the main hall of our dorm.” “The Wolves Academy helps us transform into great wolves, enhancing our strengths. We don't want the students to waste their time on materialistic things.” “We're going to graduate as strong wolves and kill those hunters.” Her voice expresses her rage. The Wolves Academy is teaching students to fight against us. Lozark Aylestone wants to achieve a strong force to wipe off the entire Red Hunters’ village. One by one, Kelly seizes everyone's items. “So what do you have?” She stands before the girl right next to me. Her fierce, scheming eyes glance at every item on the girl's body. She seizes her ring and then focuses her gaze on her neck. On the other hand, I wrap my fingers around my bracelet. “Give me your chain, sweetheart,” Kelly commands. “I never take it out.” The girl replies, hiding the chain beneath her palms. “Did you just disobey my command in front of everyone?” Her brows furrow. The girl gulps, slowly stepping back. “I didn't mean to…this chain is special.” The girl is shaking. Kelly’s smiling face turns dark. In the blink of an eye, she clutches the wrist of that girl and drags her to the front. The girl stumbles and falls on the floor. “You all should witness what happens when someone disobeys the disciplinary committee.” Her voice envelopes the four huge walls of the main hall. I am holding back my urge to hit her face. She reveals her claws, closing the distance between her and the girl. “What's with the fuss?” A voice startles Kelly. “Rizz!” She looks in the direction of his voice and utters the name. He reveals himself, stepping out of the darkness. He is tall around 6 '2 feet, wearing the same uniform as the other boys but in a slightly different way. One side of his shirt is tucked inside, and the other is loose, with sleeves rolled up to his forearms. The first three buttons are opened, exposing his clean shaved chest. His dark hair is a bit messy, yet his ocean-blue eyes are staring at everyone with a strong gaze. Our eyes meet for a brief second, causing a ruckus in my chest. He changes his gaze to the girl but my heart doesn't stop racing. I can tell from his physique that he is strong. Upon seeing him, the first thought that runs into my mind is…Can someone with such a strong aura like him be the Alpha's son? Probably not!!! The Alpha's son would never attract unnecessary attention to him, and Rizz Sylvester smells trouble. He squats down on the floor beside that terrified girl and slightly tilts his head. “If you disobey us, you'll become our target. We set a bounty on your head, and whoever succeeds in making you submit to us…wins a reward.” He whispers, cold and dangerous. “Students are crazy. They will do anything to win against each other. You'll be the one suffering.” His voice is deep, yet devilish. “Some students may lock you in the dark basement, some may set fire to your dorm, some may torture you with…” The girl snatches the chain from her neck and hands it over to Rizz. “I am sorry.” Her pale lips apologize. He takes the chain from her grip and passes it to Kelly. “The list for your allotted dorms is on the notice board. Greet the principal, check your dorm number, and leave.” Kelly mutters softly. The incident with the girl made her forget to check my items. All of us turn around, preparing to leave. “Stop, violet hair!” The manly command echoes behind me. I slowly face him... only to witness his intimidating gaze passing through me. Rizz moves closer, casting his shadow upon my height. He has the eyes of the worst predator. “Your bracelet.” He asks for it.ARIALast night, Rizz visited me again after Victor and the others left. He was worried my scent would come out. Despite saying no, we ended up in each other's arms.Today, our warm nights end.Victor gave me a new jade bracelet. With a new bracelet, we didn't have to fuck each other every night. Whatever was there between us was on the verge of crumbling down.I don't know about Rizz but I am in love. My feelings had always been there, buried inside me, and when he embraced me every night, they only grew stronger.Prince is right. If I don't say it, I'll regret it. In all my dangerous life, I have never run away from anything, faced every danger, and I won't run away from my feelings either. Soon, the pairs start dancing in the center. Smiling, Kelly makes her way through the crowd towards Rizz, yet I approach him first, and she pauses, frozen. He raises a brow at me, curious.“Dance with me.” My lips ask.As my fingers reach for his palm, he grabs them and follows my lead to the
TESSAI dare to touch him, crossing the very line I shouldn't have. My fingers softly run down his shirt, feeling his abs underneath, as my gaze stays fixed on his eyes.“Choose you?” He grabs my wrist tightly.“You can never have me.” “Why?” He doesn't answer. Instead, he forcibly drags me out of the room. “Go back.” His palm slams the door.My chest is hurting.I turn around and slowly go down the long hallway. The distance to the attendants’ quarters feels longer than usual.Walking aimlessly, I find myself stepping out of the Mirage Paradise, walking past my room. There's a pond in the backyard. I wanted to drown to calm myself. The pain can only be washed away under the cold water. The moonlight falls upon me as I step into the pond, going deeper to the center, and the cold crawls over my skin.I close my eyes and lie there, falling asleep. Everything around me is so peaceful.Suddenly, a groan startles me.*Who is it?* Inhaling a breath, I slowly come out of the pond, water
ARIAAlmost half an hour into the pain, I somehow rise to my feet, gaining control over my body. As the pain slowly disappears, Tessa steps inside, concern flashing in her eyes.“What's wrong?” Her feet rush over to me.“N-Nothing. I was just feeling a little dizzy…”“Aria.” Her eyes widened.“Your eye color is flickering, changing to violet.”“What do you mean?”She grabs my wrist and immediately strides over to the vanity in the room. The second I stand before the mirror, my heart drops to my stomach, sending a shiver down my spine. My eye color has really changed to violet.“How is it even possible?” I whisper, my breathing growing heavy.“It can't be unless you're a wolf.” Tessa draws my attention, confused as I am. Her eyes nervously read my face, trying to figure out.“I am not a wolf.” “Y-Your eyes are back to normal.” “What the hell is going on with me?” I once again look in the mirror.“We need to discuss this with Victor.” Her palm gently rubs my upper back. Luckily, Victo
ARIA I asked Scott to take care of Monark. Kill him. As he followed my command, my feet stood outside Kelly's bedroom, waiting for Rizz. After half an hour, he steps out, and our eyes lock through the tense air.“Why are you here?” He furrows his brows.“The entire Mirage Paradise is talking about you and Kelly. Whispers are going around that you're back with her. This isn't what we planned. We were supposed to put on a fake couple show and stay close to Lozark.”“You're already close to Lozark, and he has even agreed to let you enter the pack house. We don't need to get engaged anymore.” “Others will suspect us.” I raise my voice.Without warning, he grabs my wrist and forcibly drags me to a corner behind a thick white pillar and pins me against it.“Our plan is to kill Lozark Aylestone. What others think about our bond isn't my concern. Don't forget, Kelly is my mate.”Furious, I close my fingers into a tight fist.“Don't tell me…” He steps closer and cups my cheeks, pulling my fa
ARIAThe guards rush inside, tie her in iron chains, and drag her out straight to the main hall. My feet quietly follow them. Shortly after, Lozark and the other Alphas arrive. If not for the guards, she would have scratched Lozark. Probably, killed him.I drugged her. The same drug she used on Ezek and the other wolves to turn them wild. The only difference was the quantity. I didn't want to start a bloodbath, I only wanted to prove she was a cursed one.Everyone gathers in the main hall, shocked, scared, and confused. The guards are having a hard time restraining her. Taking advantage of the strength struggle, I look at Tessa, and she intentionally breaks a glass, drawing everyone's attention. The second the guards divert their focus to Tessa, Sheena breaks free and runs over to Lozark Aylestone to attack him again. The whiskey glass Lozark had touched earlier had the drug powder clinging to its surface. When he drank from it, some of the powder transferred to his fingers. Then and
ARIAI stay quiet, unshaken, and unafraid, facing his deadly gaze head-on. The pointed tip of the dagger is inches above my skin, a slight motion, and he might stab my chest. Our eyes locked into a fiery tension, tension stirring in the silent air.“Kill me, Rizz Sylvester.” I provoke him, fully aware he won't even touch a hair on my head. He's only scaring me.Inhaling a breath, he stabs the dagger…Onto the sheet. As he releases my body from his shadow, I wrap the sheet around my chest.“I will find him.” Having said that, he grabs the dagger and walks away. The door slams, echoing a thunder through the walls.*Why does he have a dagger? Wolves in the Kezent Moon pack never use daggers.* The whole night I stayed at the window, staring at the garden, waiting for my stalker and thinking about Rizz. We got into another argument, never enjoying a moment of peace.A cold breeze brushes through my hair.Lately, the stalker has been observing me quite boldly, standing under the tree in th
